Hello everyone.
I have been a member of literotica for sometime now, but I mostly have just been an avid reader. However, lately there has been one story idea I have i am suprised no one has done yet. I am thinking of giving it a shot.

I am a big fan of mass effect, and have been thinking of writing a story involving a human woman and a hanar (basically a giant alien jelly fish). It would take place on the Citadel. Not sure of the exact time when I the series.
Anyone who has played the series will know of the Consort, an asari named sha'ira who is in charge of a spa-like facility where the wait lines to get in will take months.

Anyway, with that back ground, here is the story. A human woman newly arrived on the Citadel is still getting used to crazy life style change. She works as a account (or some sort of desk job in the presidium).

While she is speaking with her friends, they all see she is having a rather stressful time adapting, so they think of waus to make her relax. There is tall about sending her to the Consort, but the wait time is just nuts. One of the friends think of sending her to one of the Consort''s acolutes (one of the consort''s helpers or staff). But the wait time for the ones at the presidium is rather long, too. However, another friend mentions that some acolytes work outside of the consort's main spa as a way of continuing their training (at first I thought of the it would be making more cash on the side, but then I thought that acolytes would probably make quite a bit of money already working for the most prestigious spa on the Citadel).

Her friends find one, but are at first hestitant, because main character is rather shy and not sure about how she would feel about getting massaged by a hanar. Yet, seeing how quickly bookings are occurring and the need to help her friend, they decide to book it anyway.

This is one of the parts i am questioning on how it should be presented. There are two options.

1 - let the main character already know the masseuse is a hanar, but she is still nervous about it.
2 - let it be a surprise. Her friends either forget to mention the masseuse is a hanar, or decide not to tell her thinking she may back out.

Either way, one of my concerns is how to write the main characters view around aliens. In mass effect, humanity has worked with humans for hundreds of years, everyone knows about them. However, not every human has met an alien. So I am kind thinking of the main character's mind set is something in between meeting a person from a completely different country for the first time, and meeting an animal you saw on TV all the time. I am just not sureally how to write this. Any ideas or suggestions?

Anyway, the actual massage can also go a couple of ways. At first I thought of making the hanar an expert. However, since I thought of the hanar is working on the side for training, I decide he is a little nervous himself. This could be his first time working on a human customer, or he has not worked on many humans beforehand. If that is the case the communication could go both ways. The Human main character can tell him how he is doing.

This leads to another crossroad(s). This massage is going to get rather sexy. The issue is howith it leads to it.

1 - The hanar is rather naive and sees the "certain areas" in the main character seem to be rather tense and tight. This leads him to help relax those areas. The main character is rather surprised, but tells him to continue.

2 - The hanar offers different levels of massage. As the main character feels more relaxed and comfortable around the hanar, she asks the levels to be increased. This eventually leads to some sexy scenes.

3 - perhaps do a little bit of both? He offers different levels of massage, but not many humans have asked for the sexy one.

The story ends with the main character meeting her friends and she is quite relaxed. When ask how it was, she mentions she has gotten herself a membership.

Lastly, what section would you put this under? While the setting is not original, all of the characters will be.
- celebrities
- sci-fi/fantasy
- non-human

Also, this is going to be my first time writing an erotica story, so I appreciate any tips or guides on how to write erotica.

What do you guys think?

The whole premise assumes readers know the background of the hanar and the Mass Effect game - so there's your knowing target audience.

Otherwise, you have to assume your readers don't have a clue what you're on about (like me, but hey, Google is my friend), in which case you've got a whole bunch of world building to do WHILE you keep folk interested in the story. Which will be hard to do.

Maaaybe you start with something less ambitious - because your story outline requires a whole bunch of exposition before you can get to action, and if you're a first time writer, you're going to be stretching your ability to get all this done. Either you'll give up coz you've taken on too much, or readers will give up, because you'll possibly take too long about it.

Regardless, it's going to be Sci-Fi and Fantasy, because that's where the jelly fish aliens go.

Good luck, it all sounds very ambitious.
