Hallowe'en story

Hi there
I have a story that I have not submitted.
It is based on a true (!) event that occurred at a Hallowe'en costume party and I'd like to submit it.
This would be the first submission from me and I'm just wondering if I should enter itinto the 'regular' monthly contest or the Hallowe'en one.
Could you please let me know?

Welcome! Actually, I'd submit it to the Halloween contest. Less competition, methinks, although I don't know for sure. It seems to me that less people will be writing specific stories than general ones.

thanx for your reply..I am SOOOOO impatient I posted it to the general story list.

It falls actaully in the Hallowe'en;anal;group;novellas...category.

it's my FIRST submission and I hope it's well received.

hopefully readers will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed LIVING the experience.

If you submit it, it will be eligible for both. If you don't win the Halloween contest, you will still be eligible for the Monthly contest.

In other words, all stories submitted during September are eligible for the September contest, and all submitted during October are eligible for the October contest - automatically. If you submit your story during September, and it wins the September contest, you can't win the Halloween contest. Rules indicate that an author can only win our contests once every 6 months (the only exception being the end of the year Awards).

Does that make sense? I'm confusing even myself...

I guess I'l let it just be decided by the powers what be where (if anywhere) it is put.

I just hope that people enjoy reading it.
