There's going to be a Halloween Contest right? Is there information posted about it yet (and if so where? I've looked but I don't see it.) or do we have to wait a bit longer for it to be anounced? Help!

thanks. and sorry for sounding so 'newbie'

There's nothing posted on the Halloween contest yet but you can begin subimtting sometime the first week of October and the contest ends on October 30th, I think. In any case you have a month, Sweet

Dear SnP,
Usually 3 to 5 days, depending on volume of submissions. Rarely, up to a week.
No, please. Just your thanks is enough,
MG

MG, I think this is the one case where the standard answer DOESN'T fit...:( :)
Dear Svenska,
I was just trying it out. Thought I'd keep it in a corner somewhere. We can use it the next time The Question is asked. I hope it meets with everyone's approval, but suggestions for improvement will be welcome.
MG
Ps. Welcome, but not necessarily accepted.

Maths, it's perfect, such polite terseness. May I use it when you're not about (aboot to our 'mature' newbie, Shen/Angus)?

admiringly, Perdita

In case anyone's interested, we're having a non-official Halloween Poetry Contest at the Poetry Feedback and Discussion forum.

Theme: Dark. Dark humor, dark erotica, childhood memories of shadows closing in while you hid beneath your blanket, that stereotypical black landscape of gnarled trees and looming houses on hilltops, or perhaps, the eerie neighbor at the end of the street who's been walking past your house after midnight. Turn off the lights, and see what inspires you.

Rules: No restrictions on length or form. It must include mention of, at least, one monster, horror movie, or memorable line from a horror movie/book.

Who's Afraid of the Dark?

Dear Perdita,
Of course you can use it. I posted it pro bono publico.

Ps. Svenska, Sorry, I don't use smilies. I do, however, occasionally use similies.
