Half Of Ptsd Are Alcoholics

The ability to deal with reality varies from one individual to the next. Alcohol is used to escape from reality. It would only make sense that a person that has difficulty dealing with reality would use alcohol before, during and after a traumatic event.

Our detox unit was never empty, I know what folks do, but alcoholism isn't PTSD. PTSD is a scam to conceal misconduct.

My neighbor growing up was in a Japanese POW camp in II. I'm pretty sure that was PTSD. They had to keep calling my dad over to restrain him and keep him from killing the "Gooks" in his living room. But he was Native American and couldn't hold his "firewater" before or after.

Yes, but we aren't speaking of legitimate war trauma or Titanic sinkings or Holocaust horrors, or sex abuse we're speaking of alcoholics who fucked up in the army and fucked up outta the army.

The Army isn't exactly stocked from the crem da la crem of society to begin with.

I think they are. I've known 2 groups of people I'm proud to have associated with: military and construction workers. They are the best of America. Perfessers, no.
