Please forgive any bad typing or misseplled word. I have been to the eye Doctor today and he Dilatedmy eyes. Things are still a bit blurry as I am trying to type this.
Seems Like yesterday I had just trun 13 and never gave thought of life past the day I was in. At 16 lif was learning to drive and discovering grils. at 18 I was not quit a man but yet no longer a child, But of to the Marines I went.
Then 21 one finely came a night of bar hopping the likes that had never been seen befor as my friend ran me through they canyon a strip of bars on both sides of a three block area.
I lost my mfirst frind when he was 4 years old. the next at 16. At 18 I was doinf Cpr on my Father the only person I was ever able to save with cpr. By the time I was 20 I had barried alest 10 people freinds and family. I seen life was short so I liveed my life on the edge and beon. Never wanting to look back at things I wish I had done or could have done. death had a funny way of working inmy mind. was something I don't fear. But yet it kept me from settleing down like my Borthers and Sister to get married and raise a familey.
Jobs , money and the respect that they bring never ment anything to me. I had become the black sheep. Life and liveing it was all I cared about. people came and went in my life. ONly a very few every touched my heart that I would have changed for. But yet inseed of me breaking their hearts it was mine.
I have bveen in rainfrosted in 3rd wolrd countys. I have looked over the edge of the grand canyon, walked on top of a glasher(sp) climbed moutans Have borken about every bone in my body at sometime or other.
I remember the day I found that oneperson I kenw I wanted to spend my life with and to share it with. Sure theres been good times and bad. But that is life, to be embraced not walked away from just becouse things get hard, or maybe a little boreing at times.
If I could changes things over the last 50 years I would have to say there are things I would love to go back and change. But over all my life has not been that bad. Even through the dark times.
I never thought of the day I would look back and see that 50 years had passed me by. A half century of life oh the changes I have seen the places I have been. What does the next 50 hold in dtore for me?
