in memory of "Dueling Samurai" <grin, once a 'shoot out' turn to dueling haiku. The new "Dueling Haiku" trail~~~~

a collection of small thoughts in a big way~~~Haiku River~~

ribbon of current
tranquility in droplets, gathered
the Haiku River

______
moonsoaked mulberries
gathered in purple crow night
feed mockingbird streams

imprisoned by banks -
amniotic thoughts
blinkered

(hmm i think i'll put the red wine away)

streamed to the sea -
whelmed widower,
floating debris

(i need to look up haiku *cough, splutter* rules, methinks.)

seed returns to sea
spiraling within life’s thirst
aquatic womb reaps

sheets of rain falling
liquid sunshine overflows
in river swells of blue

the slither of a silver trail

really..do you still have damage from the hurricane...

well, actually they did an inspection after the hurricane of the damn, they found small cracks but suspect they were there before the storm, with funding they are doing the repairs and drained the lake to nothing more than the origianal river, it is wicked to look at the lake with stumps across a dry/moist marsh and no water except what cuts right through the dead <looking> lake is the river. The trees look like those in your pic, bare and dead and been burried under water for years, now they seem as a dead tree grave yard.
