Haffas: Through the Looking Glass(Closed for SerenaUShields, xXDanniPhantomX)

He looked around, smiling. "It's lovely. Lot nicer then that cage I was in." He sighed softly. "I'm always being caged because of what I am..." He motioned to the spot around his neck where his many collars had been, most of them too tight and had ruined the fur there. His ears twitched slightly. "Are you called Clockwork because you make clocks? Or is it for some other reason?"

The ghost chuckled a little. "Well, I can make clocks, but I also happen to be a clock based ghost meaning I have gears as well as a clock in my chest." he said as he pulled up his shirt to reveal the glass door to a case. Inside his chest, gears turned, a clock ticked away the seconds, minutes, and hours as a pendulum swung back and fourth.

Meep blinked and stared. "That's really cool... I have two hearts." He put a hand to his chest, feeling the twin beats inside. He blushed and looked up at the ghost male. "Why... why did you save me from the cage?"

"I could not stand by and watch one so beautiful die in such a horrible way. I've seen it far too many times. I am the Ghost of Time. I have seen the past, present, and future. I have seen the many paths you could end up taking and I have seen the paths that others have taken."

He lowered his ears. "So... so you know what I used to be.... and how I ended up... like... like this..." He wasn't proud of his past, he had done some rather stupid things. But he was mostly ashamed for the fact he was whore, passed from owner to owner or who ever could pay the highest. He hung his head, feeling lowly in the presence of someone like Clockwork.

Time Skip

Since the mounted rescue, and the mess with Black Swann and it's owners, Kohana hadn't been the same. She seemed closed off and afraid to be touched. Flinched at any sort of physical torment. Her flute all but laid forgotten in her room in the bar, it's music no longer sounding in the early mornings when she woke before everyone else. Instead she skipped meals and hid away on the roof of the bar. Her friends were beginning to worry and were calling reinforcement. Since their return, several new faces had made themselves known. Kohana could still recall them.

One of them was a young woman who looked to be eternally frozen at the same age as Danni. The woman claimed to know him and his much darker side, Dan, a possessive and pro-violence ghost who Kohana had met once and felt an attraction towards as her own dark side seemed to stir at his mere presence. The woman, Kohana had learned, was named Elizabeth. Or Liz as she liked. She was a half ghost and a time traveler.

Clockwork, a ghost of time, whom Kohana had only glanced at very briefly.

Akihana, or Hana, a mysterious young woman who had a habit of not sitting still and a time traveler as well. In the brief time Kohana had actually been around the woman, the Hell cat had learned that the woman was Elizabeth's significant other and from another reality.

Then there were the four Hamato brothers. Leonardo, the oldest with the most responsibility, Raphael, second oldest with an attitude problem and was a Ghoul of all things, Donatello, the middle child who was a genius, and finally Michelangelo, the youngest brother who was laid back and lived life to the fullest. Kohana enjoyed his company the most.

Currently at this moment, Kohana was doing her best to keep hidden from Dan, who for some reason unknown to her, had seemed to take it upon himself to all but shove food down her gullet lately! She wasn't very hungry, if at all, and to Kohana she couldn't bring herself to understand why not eating was worrying her friends and the annoying dark ghost so much. If she wasn't hungry, she wasn't hungry. It was normal right? Yes, she had been sick some mornings just trying to eat, but Kohana had chalked it down to how her body adjusted in her captivity at Black Swan. Grumbling to herself as she huddled behind some bushes, trying to keep warm, Kohana rubbed her arms and let out a huff. Glaring up at the window above her. Why didn't i just turn into a cat made hide under the couch? Least I would have been warm.

"The past is not something to be ashamed of. It helps us grow and become who we are at the present. Today's mistakes will help us in the future. So, do not feel so bad. To me you have had just another set of events that has shaped a very wonderful and beautiful person." Clockwork said gently.

She would feel something warm wrap around her. "For fucks sake! Are you trying to freeze out here!?" the annoyed voice of the dark ghost said from behind her.

Meep's face turned dark as he looked up at Clockwork. "Do... do you really mean that?" He moved to try and stand up again, lasting a whole minute on them this time before falling back into the chair. "Guess they still aren't used to standing yet... I don't even know how long I was in that cage for... I just know it hurt a lot.... he kept me in there and wouldn't let me do anything about my heat... so it hurt a lot..."

"I will keep your room sufficiently warm. Do not worry. Give yourself a little more recovery time. Can I get you more food or drink?" Clockwork asked. He then smiled a little. "And of course I mean it. I do not say anything that I do not mean."

"Nyah!" Kohana jumped startled by his sudden hold on her and felt her cheeks come to life with heat. Shivering as his breath tickled against her, Kohana stubbornly shoved her own darkness into the depths of her mind as she growled softly and avoided looking at him all while resisting the urge to lean into him. And she was very tempted to do so. "Better than being forced to eat and be sick...."

"Are you pregnant or something?" Dan asked as he didn't seem the least bit motivated to move away.

Meep blushed and looked sheepishly at Clockwork. "I... I wouldn't mind some more food.... And... and some charcoal.... if you have any..." He was acting rather shy around the ghost. He found the other very attractive and enjoyed the company of him greatly.

Clockwork nodded and fixed him some more soup then after setting the bowl in front of Meep, he left the room. After a little while, he returned with a small metal bucket full of charcoal. "Will this do?" he asked. He was eager to please his guest and make him feel welcome and wanted, but also protected.

"Are you pregnant or something?" Dan asked as he didn't seem the least bit motivated to move away.

Kohana turned a sharp glare on him as sparks flickered to life on her fingers. "I'm not, dumb ass!" She hissed. Baring her canines at him before sharply looking away. Her ears lowering from annoyance. "To be honest.....i don't even know if I can get....my genetics have been altered so much...." She frowned, but just as quickly as her frown came, she shook it away with annoyance and hissed at him. Trying to warm her body enough to burn him so he would release her. "LET GO ALREADY!"

Getting the burn, he growled in her ear before nipping at it almost playfully.

Meep nodded, picking up the bucket. "Yes thank you." He grabbed a handful of the coal and downed it like candy. He sighed softly, closing his eyes. "I needed that.... I should be better in a few minutes. My fire was getting too low." He started to wolf down the second bowl, purring cutely as he did.

Clockwork watched him with a fond look. He reached out as if to stroke Meep's hair, then pulled his arm back and awkwardly rubbed the back of his head before looking out of the door that led to the room to check the view screens real quick and make sure nothing pressing was going on that needed his attention.

Kohana gave a mix of a moan and a surprised yelp. Her body now growing heated for a different reason as she squirmed against him. "D-Dont do that!" She growled, pouting a little as she bit her bottom lip. Holding in a purr. Kohana didn't understand how he made her feel like this when she flirted and fooled around without much attachment with some of the bars other occupants.

"Do what? This?" he asked before nipping her ear again.

She let out another moan/surprised yelp as she blushed even brighter. Squirmed a little more to get away. "You ass! Yes that!" Kohana whined. Turning her head slightly to look at Dan. She still tried to figure out what it was about him that made her want an attachment. Why his presence made her feel like she needed to embrace her own darkness. What good would any of that do? She didn't need her darkness to be strong, and an attachment would just make her weak and vulnerable to her enemies.

Meep noticed the action and once he finished his soup, he tried again. Sure enough, with his inner fire rekindled, he was alright for standing. He took a few shaky steps, still not as fluid a movement as he would have liked, but better then being useless. He didn't want to be left alone, so he followed the ghost. He walked up behind Clockwork and wrapped his arms lightly around the other's waist, purring softly to him. "D... don't do that... okay?" He was still nervous that he would be put back in the cage and forgotten, it was why he needed to be close to someone, and he was happy it was the ghost.

"And if I refuse?" he purred out darkly.

"I am sorry. That was rude of me." Clockwork said as he pulled away so he could turn around and pull Meep close against his chest. "Is everything back in working order?"

Meep nuzzled against Clockwork's chest, purring more to him. "Yeah... when my fire gets too low, I get weak... and if it goes out, I will die." He wrapped his arms loosely around the ghost's hips, his tail swaying lazily behind him. The scent of the ghost was intoxicating. A spicy scent that calmed and dominated him all at once. He nuzzled his hero's chest lovingly, he felt compelled to be affectionate to him. His twin hearts starting to beat a little faster for some reason.

"And if I refuse?" he purred out darkly.

Kohana gave a defeated sigh as she looked over her shoulder at Dan. Trying to ignore the fact that her blush was warmer and that her heart rate had doubled at his words. "Dont You have anyone better to flirt with?" She asked, frowning a little, as the thought of him doing so made her feel sick and bitter. And she didn't understand why!
