Had to share: some Anon just paid my story a HUGE compliment

Saw an Anon had posted a comment on my story Mother Road Ch. 07 - Passing Lane. Thought to myself, "Great, another nasty Anon comment", because the negative ones usually are.

Instead, I was delighted to see this: "When are you going to sell this on Amazon Kindle so I can buy it? I want the whole story, I'll pay eight bucks for a copy!" I was blown away. Not that I ever have plans to publish for money, but to hear that someone thought that highly of my story made me really happy! I'm just sorry they were Anon, because I wanted to thank them.

I've always tried to leave positive feedback, especially since I am a writer. So many people hide their ugliness behind that Anon label! Takes so little effort to just be kind to someone sharing their work for FREE!

Agreed! Writing is hard work, especially the longer stories. If it's a good story, I make sure and say so. If I really don't like it, I move on without saying anything.

so whats the big deal?

There’s a reason to permit anonymous comments!
Oh, I agree. But a lot of them really are senseless and nasty. I have seen more than one suggest an author should suffer some horrible fate just because the reader didn't like the story.

Gotcha, LS. There are some choice basement dwellers out there. On the other hand, their babblings can be deleted. Turning off anonymous comments prevents nice ones, too. It’s a personal choice, obviously.
