At least three dead, and I read 80 were just freed according to unconfirmed reports.

Another report said that the terrorists are releasing hostages who can recite verses of the Quran.

10 gunmen rushed in and started shooting the guards.

Yeah, they're saying Malian special forces entered the hotel and have freed 80 so far.

Interesting, they're saying people who saw them drive up and spoke to them, says they appeared to be on drugs.

Just jogging people's memory as to the relationship between Mali, France, and islamist terorrists:

A reminder of what has been happening in Mali
https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...a-reminder-of-what-has-been-happening-in-mali

"In March 2012, a group of officers in the Malian government staged a coup that toppled the democratically elected government of Amadou Toumani Touré. With the capital in chaos, a growing insurgency, featuring both Tuareg rebels and armed Islamists, began to capture key towns in Mali's northern territory of Azawad, and the Tuareg rebels soon declared an independent state.
- As the fighting continued, however, the Islamists, in particular the group Ansar Dine, began to emerge as the dominant force in the north. Arab fighters from al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb were reported to be leading the operation.

The Economic Community of West African States and the United Nations both sent troops… .
- However, (later on)… it was Mali's old colonial masters, the French, who took the lead.

Under pressure from France and other countries, Mali held elections in July 2013, and Ibrahim Boubakar Keita won..
- However, the north still saw sporadic violence, with Tuareg rebels fighting government troops again and Islamists targeting French troops and U.N. peacekeepers in suicide attacks."

It's not Islam!

Hillary Clinton lectures us, these are "criminals."

Is it true or is it a joke?

Because, if that would be proven to be the case (that they were Al Quaeda or whatever), wouldn't Hilary's ridiculous PCnness only end up annoying the public? And would paradoxically even lead to an increase in the anti-muslim sentiment?
Why not name them for what they are, while making sure to differentiate between them and the regular, peaceful muslim?

turkey, beirut, sharm el-sheikh, paris (and the others i can't remember right this second) ... now mali. :(:rose:

if one thing comes from this, it has to be the recognition of a gloal threat from these extremist and the need to share information globally and tackle the problem in a united maner.

mali security forces inside the building trying to clear it floor by floor.

apparently an extreme islamist mali group announced they were planning attacks there some time this year, due to dutch and french interests in the country, especially the french led military campaign that took out around 100 islamist jihadis not long ago. for all those dicks saying france does nothing but cower, i say again it's BECAUSE they ARE taking steps to counter terrorism that makes it a target. they do have boots on the ground out there and plan another 8000.

Oh no, she just gave a beauty of a speech where she railed against anyone who would say that this is Islam, but even worse than that, decried the use of the words, "radical Islamic terrorism." The Administration and Secretary Clinton are going all in on attacking Republicans as we head into an election year and along with a lot of the cards they like to play to gin up turnout (racism, misogyny, capitalism, etc.), they are trying now to play the xenophobic/Islamophobic card. They need minorities angry, very angry. This is why #BlackLiversMatter has access to the WHite House...*

;)

Mark Levin had such a good rant (based on Obama's ridicule of the Republicans as being terrified of a three-year old orphan), "Show me this three-year-old orphan! What's his name? HOW DID HE GET FROM SYRIA TO OUR SHORES?"

:D :D :D

* This is why the Justice Department will not treat Hillary the same way they treated General 'Betrayus." Everyone in the FBI knows, if you suggest charges should be brought against Secretary Clinton, just start packing up the personal items in your office/desk.

AJ brings up "Cunt Clinton" before dizzyb00by. Surprises no one anymore.
Leave it to the "Swamp Donkie" (as some people call him) to not see the connection between events,
and to focus instead on splitting, bickering and trolling.

Isn't it amazing?

butters has me on ignore for daring to say that Haitians who accept their lot and do not stand up and demand better are living as less-than-human.

That shit is just racist. But she never really gave a shit about the Haitians other than the obligatory alligator tears over their plight, no more than she truly gives a shit now, it's just bing, bing, bing from hashtag to hashtag, and all quickly forgotten.

Meanwhile, our friends keep sending mission after mission after mission to Haiti...

Liberals do not care about anything other than their 'image.'

It is true that not every Muslim is an extremist. Of course that's not the case. However, there is a problem when even a small percentage of a particular group of people are extremists. If only ten percent of Islam subscribes to extremist views, that's 150 million people across the world. When it only takes a few people to carry out an attack, we have a problem.

It's ridiculous.
People who don't have half of the credentials or knowledge like some of you guys do, and who aren't able to carry out a simple debate or critical analysis, feel entitled to relentlessly attack you and "put you down".

But this is the internet for you. Brains and knowledge are far less important for these dummies, than not being a conservatibe or being a leftie (which they aren't, they are simply trolls hiding under a convenient umbrella).

I personally share less than 20% of your guys political beliefs, but boy am I glad for the existence of some GB conservatives (for me to learn from, other than politics). Otherwise GB will be really dumbed down.

I'm fed up with how many times they interrupted our conversations and detracted them towards stupid arguments.
And I am done now with this topic.
