Thanksgiving, Christmas... What better time to beat the crap out of each other?
With that in mind, I think we need another edition of our traditional poetry gunfights.
On previous occasions, we had:
1. 16.Jan.2003 - TheDR4KE vs. Cordelia (ff)
2. 18.Jun.2004 - champagne1982 vs. fawnie (2-1)
3. 11.Jul.2004 - Angeline vs. BooMerengue (3-0)
4. 21.Jul.2004 - perks vs. Liar (2-0)
The rules are simple:
This is a LIVE poetry challenge. Two poets sign up for the duel. They meet on this board at the appointed time. A person chosen to moderate the gunfight (namely, me) will then give the dueling poets a topic to write about and a time limit. As soon as they receive it, they have the specified time (for example, 30 minutes) to create the poem and post it on the thread.
The 3 judges will have 24 hours to deliberate and will award the winner to the poet who:
1) Completes their work in the allotted time, and...
2) Best illustrates the subject matter.
The judges, who volunteer for this job, PM their decisions to the gunfight mod, who will then announce the winner.
