Gun Shot Detection Bill...

It occurs to me that technology that can pinpoint the location of a gunshot could have military applications. And snipers are going to hate it.

That's a good use of money California!!

Not like there is anything more pressing than catching a few more shooters per year to hook up your tech buddy with a new system.

Not like you have 300,000 people in direct danger due to your neglecting real shit all these taxes are supposed to be going toward maintaining.

It was top secret tech when I was in, and snipers do, esp when it's hooked up to a computer controlled .50BMG ;)

But it still has it's limitations.

the lapd has been using nascent forms of this tech for years...

military use... ha!

you missed investing in that black boat long ago...

Why would snipers hate something that makes their job easier?
Take out the trash, oh, you have an enhancement? By all means.

I'm all for it.

I also support stop-and-frisk for all suspected gun owners.

Yeah, just like it would be okay to stop and frisk all suspected illegal aliens.
Lawful gun owners are the least of your worries.
You freaks never cease to amaze.

Every gun owner I know has a little stash of illegal weapons or accessories. How are we ever going to get those off the streets, unless we go looking for them?

Every Mexican I know has a little illegal immigrant family member stashed away. How we ever going to get em unless we go looking for them?

On a real note: The only thing illegal in most states is automatic weapons. And no, most do not have a stash of automatic weapons. In fact hardly any do....

The initial research for that was done at UT Austin. The big problem in urban settings is the reflections.

I always wondered of what value systems like that are unless you have cameras on every corner as well. But we're getting there, aren't we?

Ishmael

And easily re-tuned for conversations too!

The sell if illegal noise suppressors will go up!

Well, that's all surveillance in public spaces, where no one has any expectation of privacy. At least we'll always have the privacy of our homes. (Stop picking your nose, FGB!)

Still healing from the three sinus surgeries!

(That's my story!)

I'm a confirmed gun owner.

The confirmation ceremony in your faith is deeply disturbing. I understand you have to sacrifice a bull and bathe in its blood. No, wait, that's Mithraism . . . I always get those two confused . . .
