The difference being, two of the "staff" were armed with their own paintball guns. Because the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun . . .

Well. Everybody died anyway.

Well, not everybody exactly. Twice, an “armed civilian” shot one of the attackers, adding one to the total body count, but otherwise not affecting the outcome. In another simulation, one of the armed civilian survived…by just running away.

Another cherished Vettefantasy ("Moar Guns Changes Everything!") dashed to pieces upon the shoals of reality.

Also of relevance: Armed gun nuts confront a Texas state legislator in his office.

On Tuesday a gun rights group led by Kory Watkins went to several lawmakers’ offices to push for an open carry law. Many members were not in their offices at the times of the visits, but Nevárez was there to speak with the group. He listened as Watkins and other activists passionately talked about the Second Amendment and their right to bear arms.

“You won’t be here long, bro,” one person off-camera said to the Democrat from Eagle Pass.

Nevárez kept his composure for a time, as he sat back on a leather couch in his office, but as the advocates continued to hammer him with pointed questions, the situation became tense.

“You’re a tyrant to the Constitution,” a voice said to the representative.

Were laws broken?

In a civil society you don't go visit the government with a gun. He probably didn't break any laws but you just don't do that for the same reason you don't show up to an Obama rally with an AR.

I don't lose anything at all. It's all in your mind. The truth is, disarm the entire law abiding civil society, and those terrorists would still have killed everyone. That is the glaring fallacy of your gun control superstition.

And had you clicked the link and actually read the article, instead of beating your chest with your tiny pink fist, you'd have noticed that guns did not change the equation one fucking bit in the Charlie scenario.

 No doubt. But, this was an experiment in arming the non-terrorists, not disarming them. And it didn't help.

Just for shits and giggles I wonder how it would change if more people were armed. As I read it they only had one gun. In Vette's perfect world everybody there would be dual wielding and I assume there is a tipping point. . .course they'd probably just get in each other's way.

they were a bunch of barking dogs

The dogs you have to worry about don't bark, they come at you on the run and you never hear anything over a growl just before they hit you chest high, going for your throat.

those boys strutting around the statehouses with their guns strapped on just like Rambo. They ain't the threat. If anything they are a target. I know where I am going to go if I ever need guns that I don't have, and it ain't no gun shop.

When the shit hits the fan, the GOP cuts food stamps to the point where people would rather fight than take the abuse, or the cops kill a whole family of unarmed blacks and are not indicted. Whatever it is that finally pushes the american public over the edge into revolution, when it happens these strutting peacocks with their guns will become supply depots for the real fighters.

The guy in the photo with the two guns strapped to his leg is a guy wearing a sign saying shoot me first.

The best gun is the one nobody knows you have.
