Mint or not?

Everyone hates "green."

What gives?

And what about "black?"

I happen to like the combo of green and black - with two blacks to one green - I like the bottom of the bowl.

Again - I guess I'm a bottom feeder.

Why to you hate green and black?

Why to you like red (the best), orange, yellow??????

Whitey's colors of choice?

Green and yellow are bad. Black licorice is gross.

Ever hear Bill Cosby's routine about being scared as a kid watching a monster movie in a theater? He'd lie on the floor during the scary part, and when he stood up his clothes were covered in black JuJubes.

I love black licorice (spelling?)

I search out Swedish and Danish types that simply rip your head off.

All other candy is for whimps.

And on top of that I eat all greens left.

It's those damn elementary school rumors about the green ones and the black ones. They just never die.

I had always heard that the green ones made you horny, so even though the flavor wasn't my favorite, I ate them anyway. :D

Hmmmm... I finally find something I have in common with Sparky! I also love black licorice. Have you ever had "salted" licorice from Germany? I've never been able to find it anywhere here, I've only been able to get it there. I'm not sure if it actually is "salt" in there, but the licorice has a stronger bite than anything you can get in the U.S. If I remember correctly, it comes in "double salted", "triple salted," etc. and the double salted was my favorite. It gets fairly strong (like medicine) at the higher levels.

My niece eats nothing BUT the green jelly beans. I buy jelly belly beans for her because I can get a bag of just green. I don't think she cares what they taste like, it is just that green is her favorite color.

mmmm green jelly beans are the best.
I, too have heard about green M&M's and one lady even went so far as to market green chocolate coated candies for lovers only at a local sex shop. LOL

I know I am supposed to leave, but I am waiting on something, but I will say that when I saw your name I thought that you just wanted to be licked.

That is what 'Lickerish' screams out to me.

don't mean to hijack the thread Spark...

To be quite honest, I jacked my nick from Yahoo somewhere..

I liked it cuz it reminded me of licking.. which I love to give (and receive) and a play off of 'ticklish'= lickerish.

Sadly, I'm not creative enough to make stuff like that up.

BTW, I usually go for the red candies.. unless it's strawberry. yeach.

First of all.... Chey?

On Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan - there is a small store called - Broadway Candies and Nuts - or something close to that. They have Licorice from all over the world - they may be on line. I bought a smattering of different countries licorice to try a bunch - conclusion? Americans are licorice whimps. And I must admit I am a bit of a whimp too. Some of it simply tore my head off. I did like some of the milder (still much stronger than most common American licorice) stuff though.

As for the greenies - and the reds - and the yellows etc.. All fake flavors anyway right? In fact one would wonder is the most commonly liked flavors like red and orange for instance - could be distinguished from your average candy eating movie buff?

There are two reason why I like the greenies and the blackies so much. 1) Most folks leave'um and that leaves more for me. 2) Those flavors jump on your tounge. There's no mistaking them.

I like all things in life that "jump out."

I don't eat the black, or the white, mostly. Green isn't bad at all :)

Red are good, too.
