ok I feel the need to confess... Im totally hooked on the show nip/tuck. I started watching this season and was instantly sucked in. Then I find at the video store they have the first two seasons on DVD already. Ive spent the past week watching season one every spare moment I get. At the expense of normal daily activities of course...laundry? Who needs clean clothes, or dinner even!
Im also hopelessly addicted to Joey  and 80's hair bands ;)
Anyone else? C'mon spill

I'm ashamed to admit that on the rare occasion I watch TV, it's 'friends'.

I'm addicted to a book series that starts with "Guilty Pleasures."
Laurell K Hamilton, rocks!

She does. I'm addicted to Christine Feehan books. But I have a small 'thing' for vampires.

Addicted to the X Factor reality show, spend all Satutrday nights watching it. This Saturday is the last show and I will be lost without it :(

It was damn hard to make the decision to visit Andante and miss one weeks show, or get on a plane to see him. As they do re-runs in the week I got on the plane.

*sigh* The things a slave has to do

I love Friends, and Laurel and vamps ;) .....and I have no clue what the XFactor is lol, but what about recording it shy? I can set my VCR for up to a week, check yours and see!

When I moved house I didnt set up the vcr/tv/dvd.

That was left to someone else and I can't get the damn thing to record, will have to wait until Andante visits in January and the X factor will be finished by then.

The X Factor is a talent show for singers, similiar format to American Idol, we sent you Simon Cowell and you sent him back!!
Three judges and initial auditions were amusing to say the least.
For those of you who have heard of Simon Cowell he is just as 'honest' on the X Factor as he was on 'Idol'. Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are the other judges here.

Are her books about vampires too? I have a BIG thing for vampire books if they are good. Guilty Pleasures ranks as one of my all time favorites simply because it starts out with action and ends with action, although the lack of actual sex pissed me off and frustrated me.

TV wise I like Survivor because people are endlessly fascinating and The Amazing Race as well as America's Next Top Model and even Trump's show. I won't watch Martha's though. That bitch always makes me feel inadequate and she's been in jail! WTF?

I gotta admit that when it comes to kids shows I'll take The Doodlebops over just about any other show they watch. At least the music doesn't make me wanna puke.

Gay guys... i just love spending time with them.. watching them do.. um.. things......

Exactly.
My mother prefers to watch the Koala Brothers with him. >.< Or, even worse... the Wiggles. *gag*

I actually HATE one of the Wiggles. Like, seriously, I'd hit him if I ever met him. I don't know why, I just dislike the whole show that bad.

Damn purple Wiggle.

I REFUSE to watch the wiggles. I would watch BARNEY over the wiggles. I swear to god tv is just making our children stupider every day. I mean like it's not bad enough that kids watch too much tv anyway, but we gotta make the shows mind numbingly stupid.

And don't get me started on shows that make bodily functions seem funny.

I don't remember there being shows that excrutiatingly stupid when I was a kid. Sesame Street was still something fairly intelligent, insofar as these things go for kids, and Mister Rogers might have been gayer than a plaid rabbit or not, I dunno, but I'm pretty sure his show was decent enough.

So my son doesn't really see a lot of TV anyhow. He gets his repetoire of Saturday morning Doodlebops, JoJo's Circus, and *gag* Wiggles, but half the time he's not even watching anyway. So far, he's doing good. :D

I watched a few shows that I watched as a kid on tv a few times and some were pretty stupid. (Like She-Ra and the Smurfs). But nothing is as bad as the wiggles in stupidity.

My kids like the TV to be on - but then they go play in another room. If I turn it off they're in here immediately saying 'hey, i was watching that!' About the only time they sit still is if it's Dora the Explorer - and I don't mind her so much. She's interactive, she gets them thinking.

Welll... okay, Smurfs and Snorks and She-Ra and the like were pretty silly, but they weren't meant to be teaching-type shows.

Dora and those f*king wiggles and the Koala Brothers and the Doodlebops and all them, they're supposed to be helping like pre-school age kids learn stuff. And frankly, all I learn from the Wiggles is that the pirate is freak, the dog is smarter than all of them, and the Wiggles themselves need to learn how to dance properly.

What I learn from the Wiggles is that they think all children are stupid. My kids don't like em that much - they get bored. I think it's sad that they're talking down to kids that bad these days. Look at Sesame street - it's for small kids but it actually teaches them stuff.

I work with kids every day, and it amazes me how some of them, even their own parents treat them like they're complete imbeciles.

I get more kids to trust me by just talking to them like they're capable of making their own decisions and understanding me, and the parents just can't figure out how I do it...

Damn those Wiggles.

I think the reason test scores and all that are down is more than the schools. I think it's cause parents treat their kids like they're complete morons. My kids shock people cause of how much they understand at their age. I've never talked to them like they're stupid - and know what? They're way more advanced, in understanding people, than most other kids.

Bingo... we have a winner. Give that gal, a kewpie doll. Seriously, I don't dumb it down for mine either. We went through the tattling stage and I was in law school. I taught them a three prong test to determine if they were tattling or not...
1. Was anyone being hurt?
2. Was any thing being destroyed/damaged?
3. Am I saying this just to get my sibling in trouble?

If the answer to the first two was no, and the answer to number 3 was yes, it was tattling. Worked like a charm.

Yep. We have hte same rule. We don't call it the three prong test, but that's what I ask them when theyt attle. They still tattle. I'm considering making it a rule that when a child tattles they get in trouble along with the person they're tattling about. I need to talk to K and my sister first though. See what they think.

Excuse me, but I wonder if anyone here could help?

I came down the corridor and through the third door on the right; I am not good at left and right, so I think it was the right hand door.

Anyway I was looking for the BDSM/Porn boards...I seem to have stumbled into USA kids TV.

Does anyone se the exit sign and could they direct to it please?

Thank you, your very kind.

AHHHH go on, wheres your sense of humour gone!
