FINALLY, after 2 weeks of living like a rat, the guy who was going to put up my new wallpapers showed up and did his thing - and now I have a clean, fresh livingroom in a lavender/lilac shade of purple. I've rearranged the furniture to create a cozy area for watching TV and drinking coffee, and one little nook where I can sit in front of the computer.

I might get tired of it in 2 weeks, but for now, I'm happy.

Very glad for you, Flicka. Wish I could visit. P.

p.s. your AV is too dark; as always, I miss "the look" :) .

O, no! He's married?

Perdita :(

A man with that kind of aesthetic sense of space wouldn't last for long as a bachelor.

Seriously though, as a committed condo dweller, I live for that scandinavian nesting thing--or is that scandinavian nesting althing.

Okay, admittedly that was a stupid joke.

It pulled a chuckle from me at least.

Grattis Svenska! I know what a thing like that does for the feeling of a place. Putting in new floorsa and doung a once-over with paint turned my dumpster apartment into an IKEA display case. (Well, in my eyes at least.)

I don't have a digital camera.:(

I'll take pics and develop+ them when I have more money. I just spend everything but 300:- for this, so I'm gonna have a rather monotonous diet for the next 2 weeks...

I can't believe I am the first to guess....mmmm... I guess it's you Svenska. Congratulations, make yourself at home at your new home.

LOL

Well, I figured that since I'll be living here for a quite the while it takes me to get another job and actually start MAKING money, before Hubby and I can buy a house together; I might as well live in a nice and nurturing place.

It feels much more like a home, now. Not just a space where I've thrown in what furniture I've got, but a real HOME, with my own, personal touch. The red lamp next to me, lighting up the large blue square that is my window out to the night sky, makes it extra cozy.

I'm going to go with a French Elegance theme. I saw it in a book, and fell in loe with it. I'll get me some linen curtains, and I'll put black and white photos in silver-painted frames on the wall. I figure I might as well use this chance to have an elegant single-woman home, because when I get a house, it will be Scandinavian plaid, muddy paw prints, and kiddy motifs!:D

See now if you learn't to put up wallpaper yourself, you'd have more money left!!!!

I COULD buy one in 2 weeks - but then I wouldn't be able to eat for a month and a half.

I prioritize my stomach over almost everything else.
