Growing garden veggies indoors..

Not yet.

I love gardening and growing tomatose......

I assume this window that the tomato plants are in get apx. 6 to 9 hr of sun a day???? If not then by some grow lights at a gardening store and use them to replace the lost light TIMES TWO.... ie. you lost two hr sun light add back 4 hr. grow light.

You need to have a minimum of three plants so they can polonate (have sex that is and yes they need it to, to produce fruit).

Temp: window plants dry out way to quick. Must water nearly twice a day while they are getting ready to bare fruit. Keep'm no cooler than 60 deg. and no hotter than 85 deg (and this will very greatly in a southern facing window).

Soil pot: I have grown tomatose in a 5 gal bucket but nothing smaller than that.

pm me with your results cause I intend to try something like this come Winter.

Sure! I have had tomatos in pots and they have done OK. One thing is that if they (the pots) are too small, the soil can get hot and cause wilting. You should make sure that the pot is shaded so the roots can stay cool. If it is a small pot, try aluminum foil around it and over some of the dirt to reflect the light/heat.

Happy maters!

I've grown citrus, inside. But, I've never grown tomatoes, in my home. Depending on the type, most tomatoes need full sun. And I've heard that tomatoes like to be watered at the base, and not over the entire plant.
Good luck!

Careful setting plants in front of

windows. The suns rays may reflect of the glass and BBQ the plants, also take care if it has a heat holding brick wall behind them.

Miracle Grow, use it.

You do not need more than one tomato plant to get tomatoes. The flowers are monoecious and self-pollinating. Low light levels will decrease pollination and result in lower fruit production though.

I've planted tomato plants in planters and put them in front of my apartment windows in hopes that I will get freshly grown tomatoes.

Has anyone done this before? it don't have to be tomatoes any kind of veggie or fruit. They are looking very sad. Kind of droopy.

Tomatoes are my favoritest!! :D
