Hi. I see other authors' story catalogs are grouped, but I can't work out how to do it myself. Searching was limited help because Group and Submission are not useful search terms.

Do you have to use chapter numbers? I see my stories as mostly independent with continuing characters so I don't want to use chapters.

Yes, chapters or some other such series identifier are the only way to group stories currently.

The ability to create author-grouped stories has always been a stated goal, but who knows when that will come to pass.

It's hardly optimal, but you can use your story closing notes and author bio to help direct readers to stories that aren't grouped on your submissions list.

Stories can be grouped thusly:

Fuckaroo
Fuckaroo ch.02
Fuckaroo ch.03

OR

Fuckaroo 01
Fuckaroo 02
Fuckaroo 03

OR

Fuckaroo: A Blast
Fuckaroo: Big Buck
Fuckaroo: Coming Up

All of those will show as part of the Fuckaroo series. BUT don't do this:

Fuckaroo - ch.1
Fuckaroo - ch.2
Fuckaroo - ch.3

These will be adjacent in your submissions list, but won't appear as a 'series'.

For fine examples, click on my submissions link (below) and see the differences between the A TASTE OF INCEST and THE BOOK OF RUTH cycles, as well as the BRIDE OF KONG and other series.

I can hardly wait till Fuckaroo ch.4 comes out....
Will it be about the sporting activities the Australian soccer team switched to after their heroic performance in the World Cup?
:)

(Don't forget that if you have a series of chapters, they show up by the side of any chapter readers are viewing in a set of handy links.)

If you want to group them, but don't want to do chapters, just make them follow each other alphabetically.

eg.
A Beautiful wife
A Bountiful marriage
A Clash of Wills
A Divorce for the ages
A Dominating Divorcee

You just have to remember not to put later stories between them alphabetically.
You can use description lines to inform your readers of their relationships. eg.

A Beautiful Wife
My wife gets plastic surgery.
A Bountiful Marriage
Sequel to A Beautiful Wife.
