Anybody have ideas about the given name for a group of subs or slaves is.

Y'know the sort of thing ~ gaggle of geese, flock of birds etc.

How bout a serving of subs?

There must be a word for it.

Also what about a group of Doms, Dommes or mixed?

Of course for those who are both ~ A swatch of Switches perhaps?

LOL

You are too much, shy slave. Knew a thread by you would have to be good. Too tired and depressed for an answer right now but thanks for the amusing thoughts.

Passel

I like the word "passel" for a group.

It doesn't really fit with the topic at hand.

A passel of subs?

Nawww

A passel of Doms?

Gosh no.

A passel of pricks or penises?

Now , that could make me a very happy lady!

;)

laughing reminds me of a cute comment on another sight, referring to lesbian bars and butch women.. "you know when you get to the bar and you have to go past the herd of butch at the door?"

So, do Dom/mes run in herds? D says "a Dominion of Dom/mes" and a "bundle of switches".

A soiree of submissives? A Bevy of Bottoms?

When refering to groups of people, I have a few to base it on.

Mass of ravers.

Troupe of artists

Army of men.

So, it is only three, but they are a few.

Subs... what do they do in groups? What is the key feature, the main thing they are bound to do?

Same thing for Doms.

Personally, I have only been one-on-one with another sub and the same goes for doms so I don't know what exactly the type of interaction is between them. Though, the choice of the word should be based around on what they do or how they act.

Sometimes your way to sensible for me :D
Good question tho' what do agroup of subs do together?
Can we do anything without a Master/Mistress voice to respond to...if not does that make us sheep?

A sheep of subs Hmmmm maybe not lol

That would be a flock of subs then, like a flock of sheep. But I am not too certain that is the right word.

a political slant

An assembly or party of Dom/mes?
A colony or co-op of subs?

Maybe A.A. could provide some military collectives.

In the Uk the Co-op is a shop where you can buy groceries, clothing, funeral plans (yes really) and saving stamps.

I can just imagine the checkout queue.
One loave of bread, pint of milk and two subs ~ one male one female oh and funeral plan ~just in case......

The checkout assistant would, of course, have to end the transaction with

"Have a nice day!"

Then pushing the grocery cart out into the carpark with two subs squashed into it.

Hmmm they do refunds if they goods are less than expected as well ;)

I was thinking in these terms.

In my limited experience, I have seldom seen or am aware of Dominants gathering in and of themselves without submissives.

A parliament of Doms, perhaps?

:p

Well, from my experience the discussion between doms (or the doms I've met and congregated) seem to be more gruffer in tone, radiating confidence, where a tension stays about, hanging above them to start spurring but that is never the case. Confidence irradiates from them.

A pattern like lions, hence I think a pride of doms would be the best word.

I am still out on subs. It seems to be a lot less gruff, a different kind of humour exist, almost gabby but never boastful and when a boast comes out, it is rather meek.

A pattern most recognisable with birds. A flock of subs. Funny how it also goes with sheep too.

Is that a political comment on the state of the parliaments of nations, specifically your nation?

Ah, but in the U.S., stores won't usually take back goods that have been used. Something must usually still be in the package, or very close to it. So, an inspection of the subs would then be in order. Used merchandise can not be sold as new. Now, if there is a "good as new" rack, they might go there.

How about a gang of Doms, or a posse of Doms?

A herd of subs, because they just seem to exist without someone to herd them, as with sheep.

Just an opinion, as we seem to be breaking new ground, here.

Yo, DVS, it is not a herd of sheep, it is a herd of cows, bison, antelope, gnus.

Flocks of sheep, birds. Flocks.

Flocks.

Fl-ocks

hmmmmm so do you herd a flock of sheep?

Actually, yes. The biggest difference between a herd and a flock is that a flock is a lot harder to herd. Ask some people who have herded sheep.

That could be an option but how do you go about doing that. I mean, there is only so much a sheepdog, collie or a German shepherd can do, you know. I mean, you'd have to put them through doggie university or vocational school to acquire these new skills and you know about the old phrase, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks."

well maybe they already know how to flock but are being forced to herd and thats why its so hard....because they are unskilled in this herding flocks.

First, show the farmer how to flock. I mean, it would be a slow process towards this new method as the older farmers would resist such shenanigans. The younger ones, they are the future of flocking sheep.

well maybe the older ones are flocking and the younger ones are just playing games and trying to herd

You see, none of the harmers flock the sheep. we have to teach them how to. Flocking is an alien concept to them, some will reject to this idea, some will be incapable of attaining such skills and others will be receptive. The receptive ones will be the future. I tell you, we have to teach the farmers how to flock, the proper way to deal with a flock of sheep.
