The idea that a ground hog, named Punxsutawney Phil, can predict the weather is ridiculous.

I lived in Staten Island for a time and we had a ground hog there, Staten Island Chuck, who had a far better record than Punxsutawney Phil.

If you're going to depend on a ground hog to forecast your weather, go with a winner!

Robot Groundhog! One computer brain connected to weather satellites with robot bodies in every state--as they'd all be equal and powered by the one computer, there'd be no more of this silly bickering over whose groundhog is more accurate

Excellent idea! There would also need to be a robot ground hog for Washington DC, of course. I can guarantee the support of the Mayor of New York City for the idea; Staten Island Chuck bit him last year.

Good rodent, that. If I had the chance to sink fang into the governor of New York (or the mayor of NYC, for that matter) I'd be on it like a duck onna june bug.

I'll have contact info for a place that sells REALLY GOOD groundhog costumes in the mail soonest.
