Grocery Shopping

I hate all kinds of shopping, grocery shopping tops my list. I actually beat my own record the other day and sped through the aisles in less than 10 minutes! I only forgot one thing, too. I impressed myself. heh

OMG.. you just *so* totally reminded me that I have a ton of shopping to do for a thanksgiving party thats going on tomorrow. EEK!...... need to get my butt outta here. :)
In answer to your question... when I have a comfortable amount of money... YES!.... I love to shop for groceries also..... up and down each isle.. taking my time. Drove my ex nuts. lol

I hate grocery shopping.

The hurried people with their quick little carts. The old lady with her ten thousand coupons. Carrying fifty pounds of food on each arm, cutting off circulation to the hand that has to put the key in the lock.

But that's just me. :0/

Sounds like someone's got a bit of a pumpkin head! :D Pumpkin.. Sheash... Terrible stuff..

Grocery shopping is supposed to be a chore. You aren't supposed to have fun doing it. Now your whole life is gonna be backwards. lol

Vixenita,

You obviously don't have the kickass grocery store we have here.

Come visit. I'll give you a tour. It will, indeed, transform your ideas about grocery shopping.

sugarpants, we have some great stores here too, but it's just the whole shopping experience I hate. If I could magically transport the food items to my house by pointing a finger, I'd be a happy girl. :)

Same goes for clothes shopping. I detest it.

I hate shopping if I'm alone! And if I do the grocery I come home with way too much stuff! I have to send the hubby because he can resist the impulse buys that I can't!

Am I the only one who absolutely loves going grocery shopping? It's a wonderful thing to come home with fresh as all hell produce, and freshly squeezed juices, various types of new things to try.

I think today I'm particularly excited about my pumpkin spice coffee beans. I love this time of year. Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats a little pumpkin flavored coffee.

I even bought some pumpkin butter to whip up some pumpkin muffins or pumpkin bread.

I swear to god, in the last 3 months my domestic side has crawled out from under its graduate school hiding place. For the last 2 years, I have done little to nothing in terms of domestic things. Now, I am remembering how much I love doing this stuff.

I'm still Martha Stewart's worst nightmare. There is no way I'll lose that position because of my unorthodox ways of being domestic. :)

lavender, I know this may be a bit freaky for you, but I feel we're kindred spirits of sorts.
I too am coming back into this for various reasons, and it is a wonderful feeling because its just me, it's like coming home. My sorry little Mom domesticated me at the age of 10, so homemaking is pretty much all I have ever specialized in, and I have to tell you, Martha is special to me. Not because of the obvious reasons, I just like her basic principle, which is simplicity. I love the look and the feel of such a simple manner of keeping a home, a garden, a life. I love order and creativity, and taking very special care of what matters to me.
Really, I bet we're all unorthodox to some degree, if she could see my closets and utility room, well, I imagine she would have a very hard time maintaining decorum.;)

Have you tried Starbucks Winter Blend? (I think that's what it's called, it's only sold here during the holidays) It's in a sky blue bag, with snowflakes on it? Good Stuff, very Christmasy.

I have to tell you, your threads lately have left me feeling good.

Oh...grocery shopping. I really enjoy it, but it's a bit of work doing it alone. Buying it, loading it, unloading it, putting it up...good thing my son is so handy. It's a nice feeling to see everything in the pantry etc. all stocked again, though.

In general, I hate shopping.

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

I'm not one of those women that love to shop for clothing or cosmetics. I shop like a man. I have a purpose. I go in the store. I know exactly where it is and what I want. But grocery shopping  There is something about it that I have always loved.

Get myself a big-ass coffee. I love to mill around the fresh produce. Check out the spices. The store I shop at has a huge wine selection. Every corner of the store is packed with one of a kind candles/gift/whatever.

It too, is the only place, where I don't have a budget.

I love grocery shopping. I abhor grocery shopping with the StudMuffin which I've done more on than off for 13 years now.
