What do grits taste like? Are the good? What do YOU like to out in them?

Grits is a wonderful food product.
Not the one-minute grits crap, but grits cooked slowly on the oven for at least 10-15 mins. Hot grits with butter and a little salt (just a pinch) along with bacon and eggs are my breakfast favourite. It even smells great.

Cream of Wheat and Farina don't even come close.

Grits are corn, and are good, i'm a city boy with hillbillie roots, i just had them for breakfast a few days ago thanx to Angel, was good to with bacon yumm!

Real grits are pretty good, but the instant grits taste like you would expect instant food to taste like.

If grits felt like sand in your mouth, it probably wasn't cooked properly.
If it was, it would just slide down your throat; not slimy and watery or coarse and rough, just firm and smooth.
