A grin for us guys can mean.......nothing. Covers a blank space pretty well, that awkward moment......can also be very provocative.....now a leer is not my style but a grin conveys it fairly well.......and I have been slapped when grinning from a inward thought(yep one of those mindless ones, sparked by a pleasant memory no doubt) which to the woman on the outside had a totally different meaning ......<rubbing my cheek> timing is essential for a grin to have a positve context......lost a good friend to a misplaced grin once....
I find grins much more effective if surrounded by scowls, perhaps the contrast or maybe relief that I am not an asshole after all.(okay to some I am an insufferable asshole but darn it I am a friendly one)
