Much like variable rate mortgages and the scams around them that led to the housing market collapse in 2008....I guess Repubs have found yet another way to entice gullible victims into a money making venture.
Why would any electrical company try to keep rates low if they make more profit when they go up? Do you see the problem here? Private companies look out for their business interests first and foremost...and that ain't always a good thing.
Now I understand why rates have skyrocketed in Texas. Anyone shorting them? They are about to go under.
