How is everyone? I hope you're having a great night.

I worked at my new job, part-time at a nursing home tonight. I'm really tired but I have to get my kitchen ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow, tonight. Then in the morning, I have to get up early and get the turkey in the oven. Wish me luck on the turkey. :)

I assume you all are getting ready for Thanksgiving tonight? I hope it's a great night for everyone.

I will be on Lit tomorrow but tonight I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

I thank you and reciprocate your wishes

Thank you so much, everyone.

My meal turned out so good!!! It couldn't have been better. The sides were good and the turkey was soooooooo juicy and skin crisp and I am not exaggerating. Jennifer said it was the best turkey she has ever had. It made me feel so good.

How did your meals turn out?

Happy Thanksgiving, pinkie! and 'grats on your superduper turkey :rose:

I stayed close to the kitchen and grabbed portions of vegetables before they were smothered in bird grease, meat grease, butter, and cream.

*happy*

Nice plug!

I was in Harwich last month. I didn't know that it was their annual Sea Shanty festival and wondered why there were so many people dressed as pirates wandering the town.

We dropped in on the end of the largest event and joined in singing about The Maid of Amsterdam:

In Amsterdam there lived a maid,
Mark well what I do say!
In Amsterdam there lived a maid,
Who was always pinchin' the sailor's trade.
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid!

A rovin', a rovin',
Since rovin's been my ru-i-in,
I'll go no more a roving,
With you fair maid!

I took this maiden for a walk,
Mark well what I do say!
I took this maiden for a walk,
She wanted some gin and didn't she talk.
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid!

A rovin', a rovin',
Since rovin's been my ru-i-in,
I'll go no more a roving,
With you fair maid!

She said, "You sailors I love you so,"
Mark well what I do say!
"All you sailors, I love you so,"
And the reason why I soon did know.
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid!

A rovin', a rovin',
Since rovin's been my ru-i-in,
I'll go no more a roving,
With you fair maid!

She placed her hand upon my knee,
Mark well what I do say!
She placed her hand upon my knee,
I said "Young miss, you're rather free."
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid!

A rovin', a rovin',
Since rovin's been my ru-i-in,
I'll go no more a roving,
With you fair maid!

I gave this miss a parting kiss,
Mark well what I do say!
I gave this miss a parting kiss,
When I got aboard my money I missed.
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid!

A rovin', a rovin',
Since rovin's been my ru-i-in,
I'll go no more a roving,
With you fair maid!

Last year they had a whole series of new Sea Shanties written about The Mayflower.

After the main event most of the participants adjourned to various public houses around Harwich. As the evening progressed, the REAL words of some of the sea shanties were sung - very appropriate for Literotica!

"Frigging in the rigging" featured. As did many variants of that well-known lady Eskimo Nell.

I don't think the Mayflower Pilgrims would have approved.
