If you want to have a gathering near here, i suggest either Memphis (Tennessee) or Branson (Missouri).

i'm actually in Arkansas, but there's NOTHING here. Memphis has things like Beale Street, casinos, Graceland, the zoo, yadda yadda. Branson has a couple of amusement parks, lots of theatres, trail rides, things of that nature.
