hello everyone. i wanted to introduce myself, my name is audeamus. i do a lot of lurking among the threads but i'm hoping to make some friends in the poets' hangout.

my muse and i seem to be having some creative differences and are not cooperating at the present time. perhaps by getting involved in some discussions and writing excercises, she and i can work in harmony again.

i don't have much to offer, there's nothing really special about me. but i'm willing to learn, from everyone, how to be a better poet-- writing on several subjects, not just when i'm hurting.

i thank each of you for stopping by, i look forward to interacting with you.

Welcome to our little community, Audeamus. There are so many threads that will inspire both you and your muse. Once in a while some one poses a challenge - and that's a sure fire kick in the poetic pants.

There's always the fabulous Survivor challenge but if that's too daunting just drop your poems in the noyt sure how many words or the all of a sudden passion suddenly threads.

Hello Andy, PandoraGlitters, and Tristesse2. Thank you all for being so kind and welcoming. I've posted a couple of poems in the Feedback and Discussion areas. They are garbled but I needed to get those feelings out --

I'd like to brave a challenge one day. Right now fear is preventing me from doing so.

I found that participating in the Survivor Poetry Challenge helped my poetry, along with reading a lot on here, both on the forum and submissions. I didn't expect to win, but do want to see if I can complete it (all forms and triggers). The harder stuff remains.
