Dunno how they are where y'all live, ours here run about twice a week in our major park thoroughfares with their peaks during spring, summer and autumn. Good n' delish stuff can be found, especially if you skew vegetarian.

I like to spend my dollars at the little places. The markets are fairly good price wise, but often produce is going cheap because it's in bulk and borderline rotten.
