On a radio talk show I listen to the host has a list of what he feels are the greatest inventions of all time. On this list are instant coffee, the corkscrew, and the number zero. There are others but you get the general gist. What do you feel are the greatest inventions of all time?

Language
Writing
The printing press
The computer

All the ones already mentioned...............

But I'm so gonna have to go with Vibrators

;)

For post number 2, SugerWhite that's a corker. Are you posting from jail - or are you a deep cosmologist? A heideggerian even?

Otherwise I go for negative numbers.

The Wheel was a pretty good invention as was electricity. pennicillian was also a good one.

Yep the wheel was pretty good...so was fire. Personally I am going for belts. Or maybe even broader...clothes. I'm not a nudist at heart.

Don't you think they invented electricity so we could have electric knives to make sliced bread?

noooo, we got tired fat and lazy, ergo, we needed something other than a sharp antler to slice our bread dammit!

(I am sticking with my sliced bread theory until the cows come home)

Speaking of cows...how about automatic milkers? Do they qualify for the greatest list?
