Any thoughts? I've thought that Voodoo Child was the best ever.

close...

There's also Jimi's version of "All Along The Watchtower." As you undoubtedly know, they used to play it at Mets games before La Chute.

The beginning of "Layla" always gets me going (the real version, not the crappy unplugged one). WNEW-FM in NY used to use that in it's commercials.

From Meatloaf's "Bat out of Hell"....

Phil Rizzuto's into to "Paradise by the Dashboard Light, Part II"

The first part of "Bat out of Hell"

The speaking into to "You took the words right out of my mouth" (On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses....)

What can I say, I love that album

Fade to black by Metallica and The master plan by Oasis , got be a live version thou , the mouth organ been played is so haunting .

my pick

i would have to say it is the organ intro to the oldie...

Inna-Godda-da-Vida...by Iron Butterfly.

still has to be the ultimate in drum solos ever as well!

Most of Metallica's songs, specifically Fade to Black, One and Don't Tread On Me

LZ, the Battle of Evermore

Anything by Metallica, specifically King Nothing.

All Along The Watchtower - BOB DYLAN!!!! He wrote it! He did it first! (His version's guitarwork was better than Jimi's, but Jimi could sing.)

Queen, the Prophet's Song

Led Zeppelin

BLACK DOG

Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move
Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove.
Oh, oh, child, way you shake that thing
Gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting.
Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way
Watch your honey drip, can't keep away.

Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
Satisfaction - Rolling Stones
You've Really Got Me - Van Halen (yes, I know that it's actually Eruption a different song, but my god, what guitar work)

Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison (makes you wanna get up and dance)
Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reed
Ants Marching - Dave Matthews Band
Ein Klein Nachtmusik - Mozart

think that's it for now...

Okay, three in no particular order.

Boston's "More Than A Feeling"

Iron Maiden's "Fear of the Dark"

Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black"

Another one I like is "Over the hills and far away" by Zepplin

The REAL Allman Brothers Band - Statesboro Blues

And their version of Stormy Monday

One of my favs,

"Caught in a downpour
of a rain of stones
Felt like an exile
in the world I had known
So I sought the shelter of my own soul
And stayed inside"

That used to be me, 100%

DMB - Recently Intro...

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine almost always make me high...
Look at what we got
Some people drink, some people don't
Some people think and some people won't
Some people like to smoke a bowl and some don't
Some people do and some people don't
But its ok cuz it was meant to be that way
Some people do and some people don't
Some people do and some people won't
Some people do, some people don't
Some people do, some people don't

How did i know that sweetlola would pick a DMB song? :)
