most contests have reading fees, so I never entered those. once in a while, I submitted my stuff for awards. unlike Lou, I never won anything.

However, if you want an early release of privilaged information, something can be arranged...

I was actually expecting an answer like: the judges are always willing to bend you over. LOL
Keep the story to yourself for a while. I read most of the stories till day 10 because of my doping report and I am kind of sorry that the surprise is gone.
