Here's an idea about a game where we all plays mobsters and such. I won't go into detail until several people show interested, though. I will say this: My two characters are Giovanni Maldini, and his son, Angelo Maldini. They are the leaders of the Maldini Family mafia.

Sounds like fun for sure thought my mafia lore might be a bit lacking and someone might have to help me along from time to time if this is being based around anything from tv or in real life. I wouldn't mind playing the bimbo girlfriend to one of the mob bosses or perhaps a sexy attorney that is on retainer for the mob. Just let me know.

I know I'm new but I would love to play as well, either as a driver or a spy, actually the spy sounds like it would be more my thing. Either for the government or another crime family its all good.

sounds good I'm probably more familiar with the FBI than a D.A's office so I'd lean towards being a spy involved in that organisation.

Okay, I know a lot of you are going to hate me after this, but I'd rather be honest than lead you on. With work getting steadily busier as the summer tourist season approaches, and my limited time on the computer due to other people wanting their turns, I just can afford the time to maintian all my rps. I will still keep all the one-on-one rps, because those are fairly slow paced. However, the only multiplayer rp I'm going to keep active is Heroes. Anybody can take over my other rps if they want. I used to have lots of time on the pc, but now, the only time I can get on for more than like two hours a day is on my days off. But, I've also got a deadline to meet -- I need to have a manuscript completed by the end of the year, and unfortunately, I haven't even gotten past the synopsis yet. So on my work days, I will heck Lit once, reply, to Heroes and any one-on-one games, and then log back off to write. I'll spend a bit more time on posts for Lit on my days off, but still, I don't want to struggle to keep up more than one multiplayer rp. I'm sorry guys, but that's just the way it has to be. Unfortunately, sometime next year I'll have to leave Lit entirely for a few months to go around to various cities trying to sell copies of my books and all.

I'm not gonna play a Ken Rosenberg-type of character, though.


As an alternative, since Jeffinator the Mob Boss isn't around anymore to play in this thread, would anyone be interested in forming our own family from the ground up?

In this scenario, I see my character as a criminal defense attorney who decides to take form his own crime family after handling a few cases defending some organized criminals.

Jeffinator, instead of quitting the thread altogehther, would you be willing to play a part-time role -- one that isn't as demanding as Mob Boss & Son, perhaps?

How about an ex-mob boss, who would be invaluable as a mentor/contact for a new "start-up" crime family?

Background: Johnny Saria plans to start his own crime family from scratch. He spent his entire life being "the good guy," working jobs where he worked his fingers to the bone and had nothing to show for all his work except bony fingers.

He decided to make a change in his life a few years ago, so he went to law school, hoping to be a lawyer. Instead, he simply learned that crime -- if approached with enough planning and preparation, and executed with flawless timing and precision -- pays very well.

He graduated law school sometime in his late 30's, cashed in his life savings and began preparations to start his new life -- a life much more exciting and rewarding than his "misspent youth" of hardship and drudgery.

He expects to use his knowledge of the law, his leadership abilities and his background in martial arts to help him carve out his own criminal empire.

I was thinking though - in order to keep this thread going, it might be a good idea if all the characters are playing on the same side. Only NPCs will be on the opposing end, i.e. rival mobs, police, bad eggs in the family etc.

So apart from JckHmmr_2000 (thanks for getting this going again)

Joined the FBI out of college, after three years in the Portland office of the FBI he qualified for the HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) . Six months ago he and his men were sent in to an office block after armed gunman had taken hostage several senior government officals on the 75th floor of a New York Skyscaper.

His men resuced all the hostages and killed all the gunmen but a failure of intel meant that they had no idea of the explosives rigged around the offices...until it was too late.

The building belonged to a major financial contributor to the President and wasn't happy that they now faced a repair bill of over $32 million...a scapegoat was needed and William found himself unemployed barely able to keep his pension.

Now in L.A William is considering a job offer , he still has loyalty to people who knew in the FBI but none to the organisation itself

William is an expert marksmen and expert in counter terrorism and a keen interest in money ...since he doesn't have any.

OOC- LeAnna Ryans, age 32, long black hair, dark naturally tanned skin, with long athletic legs. LeAnna met Johnny through college as she graduated from the same law school as Johnny. He had finished several years before her but they had met one night at an alumni function and he told her to look him up when she graduated. She like him from the start as he had a way about him. For some reason when Johnny talked people listened not because they were scared of him but because his personality was one of those that commanded attention. He had the personality of a natural born leader and she had also found him extremely attractive though older but she had always had a thing for older men. He wanted her to assist in certain legal matters and the two of them seemed to be on their way to a romantic relationship. LeAnna stands 5'10 and weighs 134lbs, stays in shape by running and swimming.

I'm very eager to get the thread going, so unless there is any objection, I'd really appreciate it if someone can start the IC thread soon.

If no one starts the IC thread by Monday, May 14, 2007, I would like to start the IC thread sometime the next day, even if only to get things rolling. If anyone has any objection (for any reason whatsoever) to this, please let me know so I can refrain from starting the IC thread.

If allowed to start the IC thread, my first post will include an open-ended attempt to contact the other player characters who posted a character bio/profile (probably by telephone) in this thread.

Again, please let me know if this is not kosher, so that I can avoid jumping the gun or doing anything else that might be inappropriate.
