Hey ya'll,

Kind of a far-fetched thought I had, but I got so sick and tired of my democrat constituents talking about how "ignorant" the middle of the country is. It makes me itch real bad because -- well I just don't like anyone casting off a group of people, I don't care what the basis is. I especially don't like people that proclaim to be on the side of science and then go be so cold to other people.

I had a thought that because the middle of the country is so white, it could stand a little diversity. I think that if we bring in agrarian culture from all over to cultivate the land, we'll result with a better farming practice. I understand that farmers are hurting now. I think some of the different businesses like coal mining would result with a more diversified workforce. It's not fair that a lot of the people that provide the backbone of this country provide it to people so different from them. That means misrepresentation.

I think from an ideological point of view, it's important for other cultures to be able to immigrate here and not just live in cities but to actually find some practice with the land that they feel represents them.

It scares me how rapidly the country is changing. They discussed revoking the death penalty tonight on the news. Now that sounds a-ok to me, but I don't like how these issues are being pushed at such a pace that no one can formulate a democratic process around them. It's like people got texting on their cell phones and figured because the buttons push so fast on phones, they can push political buttons that have been around for a long time quickly too?

I was raised by conservative parents and I have a hard time seeing where conservatives fit today. My answer is to push so far beyond what the liberals are asking for that they yield or at least reveal some indication of what's going on upstairs. Liberals seem to be dangerously collective for my tastes, too. I think conservatives need to be a little more collective and liberals more individual. I used to think that these changes were relatively new because of technology, but I see that it's more complicated now.

Where do conservatives fit? We pay the bills, and we provide what little bit of organization and discipline that still exists in this country. Liberals believe theyve done their share when they dream up nifty utopian ideas, its for others to do and pay
for.
