We need a government shutdown every few years just to demonstrate how absolutely unnecessary most government functions are.

The problem is that certain partisan sources, like CNN lead with a Trump tweet that basically states that he didn't want it to come out of a short-term bill, which, in of itself, is tacit admission that it was in the bill.

So far this morning, you have taken us back to the past and then when confronted by the past demanded that we return to the future (present) where we were before you joined the discussion. Then you repeatedly stated, without cite, that CHIP was not part of the bill. Given evidence that CHIP funding for six years, from sources other than Alex Jones ( ), then you moved the goal again to accuse everyone else of not understanding budgeting, so I am sure, at this point, everyone would be thrilled and entertained with your display of budgetary knowledge.
