If they can pull it off sure. I'm more of a preppy type that used to be gothic and realized how stupid it looked on me, it wasn't who I truly was at all. I'm a natural blonde, with natural brown higlights. And i'm not kidding about that actually, I used to dye my hair alot, then I washed all that crap out one day and the sun made my blonde hair brighter and sense I didn't both dying it all blonde I have brown underneath.
