------------------------------------------------]
Barbara stood on one of Wayne Enterprises' ledges, peering off into the darkness of the city below. Dotted by the streetlamps, the lights of the cars passing by, the moon refelcting in the mudpuddles caused from the falling rain..

This time of night, Barbara Gordon was believed to be in bed, resting for her classes. Of course, this time of night, Batgirl was expected to be out, keeping tabs on the city.
Hard for her to both... And one took priority.

It seemed rather quiet tonight. Something rather odd for this type of weather... the rain almost always seemed to cause the pyschos to come out. Jumping off from the ledge, her cape billowed out behind her as she shot out the gapling gun, hearing the tink of it hitting a flagpole across the way before it jerked her forward, soaring her into the night sky. Nights lek this were just so peaceful.

...And her father expected her to sleep...

-----------

Elsewhere, however, things weren't exactly peaceful...

The sound of metal being hit rang out loudly from the old toy factory, followed by a few shouts. Anyone that had been able to get close to the building would have spotted a petite blonde in pigtails standing against one of the old machines... and wailing her head against it.

"Ow! Crap!" *Wham!*
"OW!! CRAP!!"

Frustrated, she plunked herself down on the ground, her black jeans and red tee covered in dirt as she pouted. "Damn it, Harle, ya just ain't any good at thinkin' this stuff up... an' the ole thought process doesn't seem to be helpin' none."

She rubbed the red whelt that had developed on her forehead, frowning as she glared at the machine. "Made a heckuva dent, though, didn't I?" She gave a laugh at that, falling over as she kicked her legs up.

Enter Poison Ivy

With a soft tinkle of rain upon the sky light of the toy factory, a lone figure smiled down upon the haphazardous female below. Long time friends and possibly the only one she would consider thusly, Ivy popped open the lock of the sky light with a specially made acid. Kicking it aside the sky light was opened and down she slide upon a single green vine that hugged her like a lover.

Stopping mid-way from the floor and from where Harle had been abusing herself she sat elegantly upon her vine hugging it as she giggled. "Burning the midnight oil are we Harle?" she cooed in her rich seductive voice. "You know, we could always do like in the old days and paint this town red. Girl power and all that jazz..." Ivy said finally slipping from the vine to land without incident upon the floor. She skipped over to her partner in crime letting an arm drap around her friend. "What do you say we go on a shopping spree... the boys are out of town and I hear old Bat-brat is the only one in town tonight."

Harley cracked open an eye, leaning her head back to see Ivy. "Red!"
She sat up, spinning her butt around on the floor and holding her legs in a stretch before her. "I didn't whack my head so hard I'm seein' things, did I?" Reaching up, she gingerly touched her bruising forehead, then whinced. "Owch! Well, not quite the hallucinatin' stage... So that means..."

She jumped to her feet, grinning hugely. "Gal's night out, huh? I'm up for that! Just let me go put on somethin' a bit more... comfy." She gave a laugh, darting off into the factory...

Only to reappear a few minutes later in her red and black costume, an oversized gun in her hand. "So much better!" She cocked her head. "So just the gal out 'n' about tonight? Pfsh, easy. We could clean this city by dawn!"

She gave a giggle, guesturing for Ivy to follow her. "C'mere! You gotta see what Puddin' got..." She opened one of the storage bays of the warehouse, giving a squeel of a laugh at the bright green motorcycle with a side car. "All these special lil buttons an' everythin'... Wanna give 'er a test ride?"

"Thank you Ubu." he said as he took the cup of tea, taking a long sip. He closed his eyes, savoring the warmth on this cold night. The rain pattered down outside, beating a soft rythm on the balcony outside his sitting chambers. He stared out the window, the soft moonlight illuminating the city. From up so high the city of Gotham looked a fierce sight, a triumph of modern society over the adversity and tenacity of the elements. It served as a monument to the advancement of the human race, from cave dwelling neandrathals to skyrise building modern man. But that was not all the city represented. When Ra's looked upon the city all he could see was the infection of the human race. Like a malignant tumor that needed to be cut off the face of the Earth. Big cities like these were breeding holes for the worst of humanity's people. It was here he would begin his purge. The herd must be culled if humanity was to survive another century.

"The new sample is ready Master." Ubu said, bowing as he poured another cup of tea. "Your new formula worked wonders. The testers are claiming a ninety percent fatality rating within four days. They also estimate the risk of mutation to an airborne pathogen is extremely low, so you will be able to control the spread." Ra's smiled evilly at the news. He had been working on this formula for years now, soon it would be time to unleash his cure upon the world. "Any news on the detective?" Ra's asked, glancing at Ubu over his cup of tea. "Nothing new. Our agents continue to monitor his activities, but there has been nothing to suggest he had gotten a whiff of our plans." Ubu said, stepping out of his way as Ra's rose. "Excellent. I feel like going for a drive Ubu. Prepare the car." He walked out of the room, the two black hooded figures at the door bowing low to him as he made his way out of the penthouse into the garage.

Ivy sauntered over to the cycle smiling softly upon the sleek metal before her. "Green is m favorite color...this is quite a present." Ivy cooed running her hand along the medal. "Its quite wet out but I don't mind getting wet if you don't" she breathed with a chuckle and hopped into the side car.

"Come on Harle take me for a ride. Show me what you've been doing all this time."

"Gift?" Harley scratched her head with the end of the gun, making a slight face. "Ahh... Ha... Not exactly a gift fer me... but..." She shrugged, grabbing hold of the front of the bike and flipping herself onto the seat. "'S'pose Puddin' wouldn't mind. Gotta be broken in somehow!"
She just hoped to do more breaking IN than flat off BREAKING with the thing.

Starting it, she tore out of the back door and onto the rainy streets of Gotham. "Lil' water never hurt anybody, Red! 'Sides, thought you would like tah get all wet, bein' the flower lady an' all..." She shrugged, squeeling around a corner as she glanced down at her.

"Ooooh! Red! Lookit the siz'a that ROCK!" She pointed into the window of the jewelry store, a large red duby settled on display. "I ain't felt girly in ages... Lets get us some shinies!"

"Oh yes that is gorgeous." Ivy said peering at the jewel, she looked around at all the other pretties and smiled up at Harley from her place in the sidecar. "Park over there we can get in from the back."

Once Harley parked she jumped out sneaking around back. "Hmm..." with a slight quirk of her lips she used the same acid sustance to get burn throught he doors locks. A small seedling in hand she brought it to life as the vines slipped through the door dismantling the secruity system before pulling the door off its hinges with a ease. "After you..." she said with a smirk and sauntered inside looking through all the jewel cases.

Harley tittered as Ivy opened the door. "Hey, Red, you gotta give me some of that stuff. Soo much better'n just breakin' open the window...."

With a squeel, she hopped up onto one of the counters, sliding straight down to the end of the wall with a soft thunk before reaching into the case. "Ohh, yeah, there's my kinda candy..." Her tongue stuck from the side of her mouth, she continued to root around, grabbing up as many different things as she could before stuffing them into her bag.

"Whatcha think, Red? Too gawdy?" She turned around, a giant set of diamond and pearl earrings hanging from her hat's tassles.

Before even getting an answer, she swung her foot back behind her, kicking a hole through the center glass case and yanking out more jewelry."A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl's best friend....," she sang out, turning around and grinning hugely at Ivy.

Batgirl passed over the city, perching atop on of the gargoyles of one of the older buildings as she listened. So quiet... That was still so odd to her. It was never quiet.

The sound of tires squeeling caught her attention, jumping down from the stone figure and running across the roof. A neon green motorcycle, and two riders... The red, black, and green were a dead giveaway to who she was watching.

Poison Ivy and HarleyQuinn... Looks like the night wasn't going to be as quiet as she thought. Good. She was getting bored...

Following after them, she hid back as the two entered the jewelry store, watching. Let them have a little fun, she thought with a smirk. I'd hate to have them think this was a complete waste of time...

Ra's Al Ghul sat staring out the window as Ubu drove the car through the city, the streets mostly quiet this time of night. Never entirely silent was the city though. It pulsed with a quiet rythm, one of corruption, one of despair. It was a city begging to be saved from himself. Ubu swerved the car slightly as a green blur came flying fast. Ra's opened his mouth to admonish Ubu for his carelessness, but stopped short when he saw the wild reckless driving of the motorbike up ahead. "Sorry master." Ubu rumbled. "I believe, if my eyes do not deceive me, that was none other than the Joker's plaything driving the bike. It looked as though she had another female passanger in the sidecar, though I did not get a good look." Ra's chuckled slightly. "Dr. Harlen Quinzel... what are you up to this evening?" He said to himself. "Follow them Ubu, I am curious to see what actions Ms. Quinzel has planned." Ubu nodded his affrimation and drove on.

A few minutes later he was watching from the alley Ubu had pulled them into as Dr. Quinzel and Dr. Isley went berserk in a jewelry store. He chuckled ruefully before saying to Ubu, "Look at them, two women, once respected professionals in both their fields, now reduced to this. It is for this reason that Damocles must be unleashed upon this town." He had thought Dr. Isley could be recruited as an agent to work with him to bring a plague to save humanity, but as Ra's had studied her he had found she was too imbalanced to be trusted and so he had discarded the idea of trying to recruit Poison Ivy. "I wonder how long it will be before the detective or one of his friends shows up?" He said, thinking aloud.

The Batman

Earlier that night...

"Ahh! I t-told you! I dun know nothin'!!"

The wind hit him hard, pushing the man away from the ledge slightly, but a gloved hand shot out, tugging him back. The thug was met with a snarl as he was lifted off of his feet and thrust out over the ledge of the building, high above the streets of Gotham.

He leaned in, whispering something into the man's ear. Suddenly there was a look of fear on the criminal's face, his eyes went wide and his skin lost it's color. A dark cape billowed out around the man, tears forming in his eyes as he shared what he knew.

"Ra's Al Ghul...h-he's back in Gotham!"

There was silence for a moment, but just a moment. The gloved hand released the thug's collar and he dropped nearly 20 stories before the wire on his ankle caught and he flipped upside down to hang until the police arrived later to bring him in.

Recently...

He let out a sigh, looking down at the green cycle, then to the jewelry store. The two were already inside and Barbara was already on the scene. He narrowed his eyes, surveying the area, noting a vehicle tucked away in an alley just across from the store. It stuck out for this part of town, seeming like it belonged up-town in a personal garage.

Without a second thought, he turned about, disappearing from view...

"These're all nice'n'everythin', Red... but.." Harley pointed to the front window display, blocked off with grates. "How much is that doggie in the window...," She sang out, giving a soft bark before she continued. "Cuz I just really don't caare..." With that, she gave a laugh, pouncing up on the counter.
Grabing hold of the grate, she ripped it out, cooing as she grabbed the ruby. "Red! This thing's HUGE!!"

Batgirl smirked as she made out Harley in the window's display, finally dropping down and standing right before the barred window.... She tapped on it, then gave a tsk'ing motion at Harley before folding her arms. "Good look for you, Harley... Behind bars," she muttered out, smirking.

Harley screamed out as she saw her, falling out of the display and onto the floor. "Batbrat's here!! Red!!" Still cradling her prize, she got to her feet, glancing to her friend. "Think we can take 'er?"

Ivy smirked at the jewel in the window coming up behind Harley as she easily removed the bars and made nice with her new prize. It was then that Batgirl showed up to spoil their fun.

Ivy smirked with a single hand on her hip the other drapped at her side she winked at Harley then blew a faint kiss to Batgirl. Snagging Harle by the wrist she took off for the back entrance. "Looks like we over stayed our welcome. We can ditch her faster on the bike. Go get it ready I'll distract the brat..."

As she pushed Harle out the back she herself took off down the alley taking to the skies with help from her greenry. Using three seedlings they came to life the viens growing with ease as they slithered around her form and grabbed hold of a nearby fire escape. She was wisked into the air one fire escape at a time until she hit the roof tops at a run. With sensual laughter she volted past yet another roof giving Batgirl plenty of clear shots at her before using the landscape around her to sneak out of sight once more, dancing and slithering about like a snake.

A lean, muscular figure sailed across the white face of the full moon, casting a shadow on the rooftops below. The figure tucked its legs in close, pulling into a spinning mid-air roll that carried it over the head of the fleeing Posion Ivy.

Nightwing landed in a crouch, facing the scarlet-haired criminal. He'd been watching the entire robbery, but figured Batgirl could handle the two of them. But situation being what it was...

Snapping his twin escrima sticks from the holsters mounted on his forearms in a flourish of spins, Nightwing rose to his full height, his expressionless white eyes staring deep at Posion Ivy.

"Evenin' Pam" He called out cordially.

"No shovin, I know where I left it...," Harley grumbled, holding tightly to her bag as she ran down the alley. The bike sat beside one of the dumpsters, making it easy for Harley to toss the bag onto before hopping onto it herself. Firing it up, she spun it around-
Only to find a large black car blocking her way.
"Hey!! Move that heap'a junk or I'm goin' right over ya!," She growled out, revving the bike warningly.

Ra’s chuckled at the turn of events. He knew it would only a matter of time before the detective club showed up. Even something as pointless as a jewelry store robbery being enough to bring them out. He watched as Batgirl descended, glancing up and down her body. She’d grown up quite a bit since he was last in Gotham and now she filled out the suit very nicely indeed. He gave silent applause as he saw the form of Nightwing, the prodigal son now all grown up. The show was getting interesting; though it still looked the same old show he had seen when he left all those years ago.

“Sir… it looks like Ms. Quinzel is quite enraged over our parking spot.” Ubu said, gesturing out the front window to where the Jester was revving the engine of her bike, yelling something threateningly. He motioned for Ubu to stay his hand, which was creeping for the submachine gun in the passenger’s seat. Instead Ra’s opened the door stepping out. “Dr. Quinzel, a pleasure as ever. Might I request your company in my car? You’ll have a much better chance of escaping the detectives with your loot if you lose the vehicle they are expecting you in…” He said to her in a calm voice while gesturing to the door he was holding open.

Batgirl stood up from the roof of the store, watching Harley- then Ra's stepping from the car in the shadows... What was this all about? "Cheating on your Joker, Harley?," she muttered out, raising an eyebrow.

---------
"Ehh?" Harley was a bit... surprised at the invite, letting go of the bike and sitting up, tilting her head a bit. He did have a point- The bike did kind of stick out in a crowd.
And he called her by that old name... She hadn't heard that in such a long time...
She glanced up, seeing Batgirl perched above them, then back to him. Chewing her lip, she gave a slight growl, jumping off the bike and letting it fall over. "Mr J's gonna kill me fer losin' his bike...," She grumbled, but scrambled into the car, tossing her bag inside as well. She had no idea where Ivy had taken off to, but she figured Red could handle herself, especially with all the toxins she had with her... And that goop she was using earlier! *Gotta get me some'a that,* she reminded herself again, grinning.
Looking back to Ra's, she pointed a finger at him warningly. "This better not be some trick, pal- Or you'll regret it!"

There was a thud as thick boots landed on the roof of the black car, a large black cape falling over the figure as he stood to his full height atop the vehicle. His hand moved to his belt, sneaking into one of the pouches.

"She's coming with me Ra's."

His white eyes narrowed at the clown girl, his fist clenching as he pulled out a pair of black handcuffs, parting the cape and showing them to her.

"Time to go back to Arkham."

“My intentions are the purest Dr. Quinzel. I merely wish to talk business with the woman who sits so close to the city’s most feared criminal mastermind.” In truth Ra’s did not think much of the Joker, seeing him as merely another example of the type of corruption and madness that needed to be culled out of the human race, but he had his purposes and helping his little friend here would go a long way to opening his ears to the things Ra’s had to say. He helped her into the car, looking up onto the roof, Batgirl still distracted with her chase with Dr. Pamela.

Ra’s smiled as he heard the thump on the roof and the deep voice behind him. “Ah yes, the arrival of the detective. I wondered how long it would take you to show, training day for your little ones not working out as well as you hoped?” He asked with a slight mocking tone to his voice. “Perhaps it would be better to let this one go my old friend. I would so hate to have to dirty mine or Ubu’s hands tonight.” He clapped his hands and four black clad men materialized from out of the shadows, charging at Batman. They didn’t have a chance of stopping him, but they were enough of a distraction to remove Batman from the top of his car and allow him to drive off as the four League of Shadow warriors moved to engage the Caped Crusader.

It was only a minute or two later when Batman walked out of the alley, his cape drapped over his shoulders and the henchmen strung up and hung like wild animals caught in a trap. They wouldnt give him any information regarding Ra's. He knew better than to question them. After all, he had the very same training.

"Hmm..."

He pulled a small pda looking device from his belt and peered down at the small lcd screen. It showed a small blip on a zoomed in portion of a Gotham map. It was the tracer he placed on Ra's car when he landed. It was moving too, so all he had to do was wait.

His eyes moved towards the sky as he shot out his grappling hook, tensing his muscles as it struck a wall high up on the building across the street. Just a second later the device clicked, tugging him up into the air. The Batman swung around the ledge, detaching the cord to fall to the roof.

He moved to the ledge, peering out across the street to the roof of the jewelry store. Dick certainly was taking his time with Ivy.

The jingle of cuffs came from Batgirl's fingers, smirking as she came up behind Ivy. "Seems Harley dumped you, Pamela. But if you're set on getting jewelry tonight, I'll be generous and give you some of my bracelets..." She gave a nod to Nightwing, moving closer to Ivy. She didn't dare get too close- the woman may have been wearing very little, but she could conjure some rather odd plants easily.

----------------

Harley sat in awe in the back of the car, clutching the bags to her chest as she looked at him. "So, ahhh... Why the helpin' hand?" She made a face. "Thought'cha didn't much like people like me... Ya know, I'm kinda like Robin Hood. Steal from the rich, give to the poor... My Puddin's real poor, ya know." She rubbed her nose a moment, then gave a soft sneeze. "I kinda... blow his money real easy." Her chin jutted up a bit, folding her arms about the bag. "But I say I'm worth it! I get more attention now than bein' a doc ever got me! People know my name now... I got me some fame, and a great guy."

"Truth be told Dr. Quinzel I've always admired you and Joker's commitment to exterminating the people of Gotham, a goal all of us share if for different reasons." He turned back forwards, addressing Ubu. "The detective has undoubtably place a tracking device on the car or is otherwise following us. I suggest we head to my hotel, as I would not want to be leading him back to the League's headquarters or your own hiding place Dr. Quinzel." He said, turning his gaze back to the jester woman. In truth they were both merely pawns, but perhaps Ra's could discover a use for these criminal scum before the cleansing. "I wanted to arrange a meeting with your... Pudding... I have many ideas in mind that could use his rather... unorthodox touch. Among them would be the elimination of a certain detective who seems to always be disturbing the natural order."

ooc: sorry guys got distracted, you can kick me some times..hehe.

Ivy bumped into Nightwing just as soon as he landed. Stumbling back but catching herself easily enough she flipped her read hair behind her smiling selectively. "Evening yourself..." she commented. Batman's former boy wonder had grown considerably. She had to comment on this, "Quite the strapping young fellow, Dick."

She stepped back long turning when Batgirl popped in. "Is that so? I'll just have to give ol Harle a tongue lashing next I see her." she eyed the two bat brats sighing forlornly. Though she did not want those cuffs on her. "I'm sorry Bratgirl but black really isn't my color..." stepping to the edge of the roof she smiled blowing a kiss to Dick and Barbara, sending toxic spores shooting out from her lips to distract them as she leapt off the roof.

Catching herself using her vines she landed on the streets waving to the brats above as she slipped off into the dark alley. She needed to find Harley but she knew ditching the kids would only bring Batman on her head next. She sprinted fast away from the jewelry store time to regroup and re-evaluate her plan of action. Damnit where was Harley?

Harley frowned at that, tugging off her tassled hood and shaking her head, the blonde pigtails batting about with the movement. "Mister J's not exactly... ahhh... available at the moment." She glanced at him, then scratched her head. "See, ha... That bike I had there? Mister J got that for me with his last lil heist an' Batsy caught right up with him like nuthin'. That's why I was out with Red... I was goin' kinda crazy stuck in that place all by m'self."

She peered out the window, trying to see where they were headed to. "Speakin'a Red... What about Ivy? Batgirl was right behind us 'n' she wanted me to found the bike, but then you found me and I forgot the bike, an' now she's gonna think I forgot her too, but I didn't, cuz I was tryin' to, but I got distracted, an' I'm real bad at that, but I do try to pay attention..." She glanced at him, then frowned again. "What were we talkin' about?"

Ivy was yanked off of the ground as if a ghost had nabbed her. The strong gloved hand held firmly to the back of her costume. He slipped the cuffs on her with ease and pushed her against the wall of the ally, almost growling as he spoke. His large black cape covered his body as he leaned in close.

"You're going back to Arkham. Now."

That said he tugged her by the arm out of the alley and to the open street. The Batmobile was waiting, the engine roaring to life as he flicked a switch on his belt. The canopy slipped open as he tossed her into the passenger seat, buckling the seat harness around her.

He moved around the car, getting in on the other side as the canopy closed overhead. The car growled loudly before taking off down the winding streets of Gotham.

A few minutes passed in an eerie silence before the Batman spoke again.

"I'll make you a deal Ivy."

This was highly out of character for him, however he had his reasons...

"You help me find Ra's and I'll let you go."

It was a lie, he'd still send her to Arkham...but she was a small fish right now and he needed to catch the big one...and soon. Who knew what Ra's had planned. He was a terrorist with absolutely no limits to achieving his goals.
