Got sucked in

I thought that the Fresh Stories section would be a safe list of active stories. I just realized tonight that they show up their as soon as you post even if no one ever looks again to approve the story. That means you can post to a dead story that looks active just because some other bastard got sucked into writing a thread that will never be approved for the story.

I hate the dead and inactive stories being mixed in with active ones. There are probably three times as many dead stories as active. This needs to be dealt with.

My rant for the day.

I guess I should say sorry. I like Jake realized the whole "fake" fresh stories section myself. And, I didn't even warn anybody. To me, a new thread being aproved should push a story to be considered "fresh". However, it's like Jake said. If somebody posts a thread that waits in approval limbo forever, the story is still brought up to the Fresh section.

But, ranting isn't going to help. That's all I am going to type. Enough wasted energy!

I agree. There should nbe some warning if the story is inactive or dead. I don't mind reading them, cause some of them are pretty good.

But i've been suckered into writing threads for a couple of dead stories! and that really sucks. I don't have that much time to write threads, and i don't want to spend that time writing for dead stories.

they should have some thing that says the last time a thread was approved. i have had my fair share of that.
