There are a bunch of people on Lit that do cool things in their spare time.

I do the average and fairly boring, cooking, reading, writing, TV, movies, video games.

What do you guys do with that creative energy? Noor can sew me under the table, remy_lebeau restores pipes, someone else I knew carved wooden dildos, someone else sent me a blanket she made.

What's up with you guys?

Pictures, if possible.

You mean like mess around with minors...

Recidiva the Sex Offender

Here's the thread where it all went down:

Crimes of Passion

Here's Recidiva the Sex Offender's post, #9, which was deleted because, although I cannot in any way speak for her (too bad she doesn't have the integrity to admit the same about me), Laurel deemed it in violation of literotica.com rules because it contained sexuality involving a minor:

Recidiva the Sex Offender's post #9 deleted

Here is Recidiva the Sex Offender's deleted post #9 imaged for posterity; only the separate, last line of another's commentary hold any other words than Recidiva the Sex Offender's own:

Recidiva the Sex Offender's post #9 revived

Here is Recidiva the Sex Offender's post #20 where she tells the Board how old she was when she knowingly and intentionally conducted an online BDSM relationship with a 14-year-old:

"Mid to late 20s if I recall correctly."

Here is Recidiva the Sex Offender's post #25 in the Crimes of Passion thread:

"Well, he was one of the guys I was messing around with at the same time"

And finally, here is Recidiva the Sex Offender's # post summation of her intentional online BDSM relationship with a 14-year-old and then meeting up with him later and fooling around with him in the front seat of a car...

...note especially:

1. "I had a roleplay relationship with him" - one she earlier states was BDSM in nature

2. "...was it still outside of what is considered lawful? Yes."

3. "If my daughter or son had a relationship with a person that much older, would I freak out? Hell yes."

"Do I think I could have been charged with a crime? Yep."

A "Mid to late 20s" woman intentionally conducting an online BDSM "roleplay" relationship with a 14-year-old kid, and then the same late 20s to 30-year-old woman agreeing to meet up with that same minor when he was 16 to fool around with him in the front seat of a car...

Well, it's got pictures, so thanks!

That's self explanatory, eyer, and helpful.

I engage in local politics, annoying City Hall.

Since the local Council election I have a whole bunch of new people to irritate. The ruling party, Conservative, is the same, but there are many new faces.

What really riles them is that I know more about the history of previous Council discussions than they, or the Council Officers, do. I've been campaigning for longer than some of them have been alive, and I was taught by my father who was active in local politics decades before I was born.

The same issues come up again and again, and City Hall doesn't seem to learn by its mistakes, or even remember them.

What are you hoping for in terms of irritating people? If you had a legacy, what would it be?

I'm in a band.

We suck. And we don't get together to play much anyway. But it gives us the right to say "I'm in a band".

Writing is my hobby turned part time income I have a little over 100 stories posted here and a bunch for sale.

What do you play as an instrument, or do you sing, and what kind of music do you play?

I'm in an obsessive writing phase, so I appreciate how much fun that is. Is it less fun if you're getting paid for it, or more fun?

Generally I am arguing for the use of that rare attribute, common sense, and trying to mitigate 'knee-jerk' reactions to current issues.

For example:

Council Officers had a problem with Camper Vans (RVs) staying overnight in their car parks. They didn't recognise that the real problem was that there weren't enough spaces for Camper Vans in the only site in their District. So they proposed to ban all vehicles weighing over 25 cwt from every car park.

I had to point out that the proposal would ban the Mayor's Limousine, the vehicles that transported their two wheelchair-using councillors, and one third of the personal cars of the then Councillors.

The other problem was how to enforce it? The nearest public weighbridge was outside their District. Would all visitors with large cars have to go there to get a certificate that their vehicle didn't exceed 25 cwt? And what if it did? Would they have to keep driving because they couldn't park?

They took notice and introduced a height restriction on some of the more sensitive car parks.

Now, 20 years after I stopped the proposal (technically I didn't. They did because I could only tell them they were wrong. The Councillors made the decision) they are finally increasing the number of spaces and adding locations for Camper Vans in the District. I have been arguing for that for 30 years.

What's the ratio of decent human beings elected to office versus people who want office for their own ego in your opinion? Hopefully you have some help.

My hobby is collecting comic books.

How about the rest of you guys?

I haven't collected comic books, but I've read a lot of them from other people's collections and I lately started getting some on my Kindle.

grabbed some of Joss Whedon's redone X-Men and read it recently.

Which are your favorites, what do you collect?

I strip and refinish wood furniture...I also make some small wood signs and such from reclaimed wood

Oh, I could probably use some advice. I need to refinish a desk on which my daughter spilled nail polish remover.

Do you have any pictures?

Some...but they're on my computer, not online. Have you stopped by a lumberyard or Home Depot type store and asked for advice? Generally they're very helpful (hoping you'll buy what they're selling and coming back again)

My hobbies are gardening and writing. No one gardens better than me. Presently I'm harvesting tomatoes, Vidalia onions, and peaches.

To tell the truth, I don't have any favorites.

I just collect comic books that happen to click with me... if you know what I mean.

Did I mention my daughter spilled it maybe 10 years ago?

I'll do that, though, when I get off my video game playing butt and do something about it.

I'm impressed. I managed jalapeno peppers and some cilantro in Florida. Too many bugs. How do you manage?

I have an herb garden here and some rosemary and lemongrass inside, since they grew in Florida and I got used to having them around for cooking. Sage, oregano, chives. Lots of roses because the deer don't eat them, and everything is planted according to "not deer candy."

I have gardeners though, I inherited them, I cannot do it myself. My parents had an organic garden here in New Jersey when I was a kid and I spent too much time picking Japanese beetles off of soy beans to want to do it again.

If the desk is actual wood, I'd probably put a layer of stripper (not THAT kind, you perverts lol) on it, scrap it off and then sand it before refinishing. I'm strictly amateur so the lumberyard/Home Depot may have better suggestions

Right, no rubbing strippers on the desk.

I'd have to redo the whole thing, I think, because the finish is very specific, not just this spot. The middle is slate, I think?

It looks like this:
