Got a digicam, need help please.

Okay I went to the store to get the camera and was given the run around, so I ordered it online.. It arived today.

I go around takeing pics learning how to use it already have everything installed on my comp. it's a usb so will detect the second I pug it in right ohhhh fuck no.
look in the trouble shooting section on why I can't upload my pics to my comp. cord isn't pluged in I check it is pluged in. camera is off check it's on. conflicing softwhere, I just rebooted so nothing is opned. drivers and softwhere isn't installed properly.

It didn't come with no fucking drivers. I check the site I have an hp photosmart 215 so go to hewlettpackard.com go to their drivers download section.

they won't let me d/load any no I have to fucking buy a cd and they are going to charge me $15 fucking dollars, may not sound like much but I paid the fucking greedy bastards $235 for the fucking camera in the first place now i have to pay more to use the piece of shit? so if i do this and get the cd what if the camera isn't what I wanted, well i cna't even bring the fucking thing back cause the time will be up to return it to the store.
I even read the min requirements and it said it would work for win xp on the goddamn site.

I thought I'd call costamers services... they are going to charge me just to call them..... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know of what I can do? i'm ready to beat the hell out of someone I don't care who. I'll take any sugestions to see if it will get this goddamn thing working.

Sorry Fly, not much of a techie here, but your rant, I'll let you use my phrase for computer "fucking piece of shit". Helps get the frustration out.

Take it back to the store. We have gotten two digital cameras and I know many others that have gotten them as well. They always have CD's or Floppys with the drivers. When we got my new camera it did not come with the special memory card it was supposed to. I would not be surprised if they forgot to put the CD in yours.

Well seems I'm not the only one with this problem
I looked at the hewlett packard forums.

many are mad that you can only buy the goddamn drivers but you can d/load them for other things......

this is the answer that has been given since xp was reliesed.

I have just purchased a photosmart 215 camera and found out that the supplied software will not run on XP. A label on the box points towards hp.com for the latest drivers, only to find that hp do not have any for this camera. I have been told I need the drivers for the 715 which work on XP and will support the 215, however I now have to pay for these. Why is this? can the updated driver not be downlaoded from hp.com (for the 215 or 715). Also the photo editing software will not work.

I am not happy about this, as there should have been some mention on the box that hp do not have the software to support this camera, but it can be purchased elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply cathy. I have already followed the link and ended up at the supplier of the updated drivers. The main problem is that I am being told I need to pay for this. I am (a combination of cost and shipping).
As far as I am concerned this should be made aware at the time of purchase. I have just paid £200 (about $300) for the camera and unless i pay for this driver, the camera is useless and I may as well throw it away. I do not like being in a situation like this where I am being held to ransom!!!!!!!!

it took 4 and a half technitions, 14 friends and about 30 tech support forums but it'* working finaly

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to use drivers for somthing else and tell it I was useing an older version of windows, it tells you during instalation there is an error
tell the computer to ignore it and it installs somthing else that'* hidden in the drivers.
