It's just like the English...
They haven't had an original idea since the Missionary position. Americans, we're the innovators.
Do you know that they sell more Lego sets in Europe than in the U.S.A? Why, you ask. Because in Europe they follow thw directions to build the thing on the front of the box, and that's it. Here, in the land of mikk & honey, whena kid opens the box, he just uses his imagination. And then he tears it apart and reuses the legos to build something else.
(By the way, this morning, I cooked an herbed omelete with fresh herbs from the garden).

For Sale.... Annoying Post Detector
Well, Lasher had a brilliant idea for an annoying post detector. I called Ronco with the idea and they loved it. The problem isn't so much the price or the late availabilty date ( 27 easy payments of $39.95 + $72. plus S&H ---due out in 2020). The problem is, annoying to whom?
Since many of us here have varying tastes in sexual pleasure, including pain etc., who knows how many varying levels of rejection and acceptance will have to be built into this important new tool.
Well, as for me, I love the diversity of opinion and lifestyles, here. I'll likely pass on the Ronco Annoying Post Detector, when it comes out. In the meantime, maybe Lasher could join up with his antithesis, whoever that is, and they could host a new forum on the BB critiquing the posts. Sorta like Siskell & Ebert. Now who would be Lasher's antithesis?

The europeans have a little thing called intelligence installed in their head which enables them to read the instructions and then build the lego.
The americans find the the instructions too much to deal with and therefore take a life time to complete the project. It only ever gets completed when a team of european consultants come over and tell them how to do it.

Used to be an old joke, "If you really hate someone, buy them a Jaguar." They used to be quite expensive to maintain and wern't very reliable, in fact they spent most of their time getting repaired. Believe they held 12 quarts of oil, so an oil change was also expensive. Don't know what they are like since they are now a Ford product
Since Ford came in things have been improved and Jag now build cars to rival the souless boxes made by BMW and Merc. Not that I think Jaguers of old where quite that bad, I'd give my left ball for a D-type or E-type, and the big cat's racing pedigree is second only to Ferrai's.
