In the U.K., Labour Party MP (member of Parliament) George Galloway is planning to call for international volunteers to form a human shield in Baghdad. Bloody good show, Galloway! The Labour Party should dump Blair and make Galloway their new party leader.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Gerhard Schroeder, who was facing likely defeat because of high unemployment and the sluggish German economy, has gotten a big boost in the polls because of his strong stand against the big Iraq attack.

Americans may be brainwashed, but Europeans are not!

Urkel is funny.

You'll be volunteering, Red? Or is this another one of those causes you only believe in from the safety of your recliner?

I'd love to go, but . . .

I'd love to go, Killer Muffin, but I can't afford a trip to Iraq. However, if you'd like to send me the money, I'll be happy to go . . .

Weird & Stick

Gee, thanks, guys. I'm glad to know you're thinking of me.

Seduction vs. rape

Yeah, if men treated their wives the way Bush treats the rest of the world, there would be a hell of a lot of pissed off women!

Hi Redwave . . . did you know that your friendly CIA man is watching??? My security alert just went off again.

Sadly, this sounds like the Children's Crusade from the Middle Ages, where surplus children were encouraged by the Pope to march on Jerusalem . . . those that weren't killed crossing Europe starved through Italy and the few unarmed ones that made it to the Middle East were slaughtered by the Saracens.

Nice to know that the Europeans value trade . . . I hope some of this rubs off onto our Prime Minister Little Honest Johnny Howard . . . there is an $US840 million wheat contract with Iraq for starters and a live sheep and cattle trade worth hundreds of millions each year.

But then . . . with 20% of the world oil reserves under both Iraq and Iran, perhaps the US Oil cartels will not be interested in Oz trade figures . . . the US government certainly wasn't when the US Farm Bill was passed by Congress.

Where is your imagination, Red? Once you've gone into Iraq and given aid and comfort to the enemy, you can't come back to the States anyway. If you do, it'll be to join Walker in his cell. Sell your computer, your western clothes, your TV, your stereo, your DVD player, your VCR, your recliner, ad nauseum.

I knew you wouldn't go. You're not a true believer, you're just lipservice.

Hi, Don!

Hey there, Don. I know the CIA monitors every keystroke I make. Where the hell is Ppman? I see he's on Lit. now (or lit now, I'm not sure which). If he and Cool would show up here, we'd have the whole "Axis of Sanity" here.

Hi Redwave,

The Axis of Sanity . . . I like that!! :D :D :D There are a lot of things to be said for an English style education system . . . (and that's not an invitation to start the teacher bashing debate again!!) . . . if only we could educate the US public about the REAL reason for Dubyah wanting to kill American service personnel in the deserts of Iraq . . .

"Axis of Evil"

Yes, it started with a remark by Cool that many of the people here at Lit. seemed to regard him, me, and ppman as the Axis of Evil. I thought I'd just rename it a little, and expand it to include you-- that is, if you don't mind.

You don't mind, do you?
;)

He's not offering to leave to fight or carry arms but to join Galloway and other international volunteers in forming a human shield to encourage peace. I'm sure GWB would call him a OBL operative because GWB is floridaguy in a suit. Can I get one of those paypal accounts-it'd be like a high stakes game of "Red Rover".

To the Loveitorleaveiter's

Come on, all you assholes who have been telling me, "Well, if you don't like it here, why don't you leave?" this is the chance to put your money where your mouth is. Just raise enough money to send me to Iraq, and I'll be delighted to go there to be a human shield.

Now, now Redwave . . . calm down . . . you know that this is a bluster thread . . . all words and no action . . . war from the comfort of your lounge room . . . "Oh dear! Look Mummy . . . that man has had his arm blown right off!!!" "No dear, that's all right!! He's only an Iraqi!!"

"Mummy, Mummy . . . why does that man lying there have a black mess where his face should be???" "Hush, dear . . . not so loud!! . . . that's what happens when the US Air Force drops Agent Orange and napalm."

"Mummy, Mummy . . . why did that little girl vanish off the screen . . . it was just as if she'd been blown apart in like Kenny in Southpark . . . will she be on the program next week??" "No dear, she's gone to heaven to be with God."

Sound familiar?? Do the American people REALLY want to go back to the Vietnam scenario of a production line killing programme that wraps young American college students in body bags?? Is control of the world oil supplies THAT important?? :)

Hi Mr CIA man! *waves*

Your services probably won't be needed, Red. If Saddam acts as he did in the Gulf War, he'll already be trying to shield all his most valuable sites with Iraqi women and children (the same children for whom he blames America for killing by continuing sanctions despite the fact that he could end the sanctions at any time by simply allowing weapons inspectors free access).

By the way, how's your investigation going? Got the perp locked away for his heinous crimes?

I feel proud and honoured to be regarded as a member of the 'Axis of Sanity'.

There are many others who also think the thoughts of the Free. Who question, who criticise and who independently make their stand against the tunnel vision and suicidal, unswerving support that others have for the most dangerous man on the planet.

I am not elitist. Honoured as I am to be regarded as a member of the 'Axis' I wish to decline in preference to my indivuality...

If American accuracy is as sharp as it was in Afghanistan he won't need to.

They won't be hit anyway - unless by accident...

And whatever happened to that story about the American military standing by as the Afghans tortured then massacred 'members of the Taleban'. Afterwards burying them in mass graves?

Well, you know . . .

Well, you know how it is, ppman. When the enemies of America do anything wrong, it's a horrendous atrocity, a loathsome crime against humanity. But when the U.S. commits an atrocity, why, then, it's a "mistake" or an "accident"!
