and in the midst of a flood :)

I have been notified two poems of mine are being published in a Canadian Anthology book from the depressed poets society (heh)
called Sharing the Dark

the two poems are

whisper-walk

lifeless calm,
deadpan droop
reverberating silence,
quivered sighs
in eerie gray

drawn blankness,
a dry brush
scratching canvas,
scattered bristles
a tired drag

fleeted reprieve,
an incomplete second
knowing you are here
“just one more step”
whispers again

and...

shaky morning

my mind wobbled a bit
breath hesitated,
tears formed,
love and death
with madrigal meaning,
lust, life and Christ...
Where does it all fit?

silent incantations,
self-esteem boost,
repetitive consideration,
reflexive caffeine sips,
the sun’s cape glimmered
off snow flounders
peeking through my window.

a sigh with so much meaning
yet meaningless slips
into sleepiness,
idle time blunders
as I creep back to bed,
it’s too early to wake,
weakness hasn’t
enough strength
yet.

Congratulations...

But then you do have a lot of stuff worthy of publication, it's just a matter of getting it out there. Well done.

Thank you all!

Of course if it wasn't for you and Lit I would still be writing in a closet with my flashlight.

Psst, I now have two boot boxes full of poetry in the dark now :) Had to buy new boots for the third box and it was hip rubber boots! :p

Way to go echoes! all that passion had to lead you somewhere :)

seattle wants to know if she can borrow your closet
and flashlight...
& wants to know if it is waterproof?
I don't get it.

Congratulations echoes!

Both poems are moving and somewhat unsettling, which you convey very well. I hope to be reading your serenity poem soon.

Thanks everyone, crashed and burned yesterday, walked out of an appointment and everything

duh! The editor wants Outside of me does this mean I have to delete it from here now? I suppose I should find ask her.

from what I understand, most places would consider literotica more of a workshop than an actual publication. Others claim differently. If you do write to her, I would put it that way and then take it down. It might not be necessary, but seems the right thing to do.
