Going to Miami

So I'll be in Miami in the beginning of November for a few days, and was wondering if anybody have any tips as what to see there? I've started to surf different sites, but it's always interesting to hear what other people like and dislike as well.

Oh I'm into many things But I'll be with a buddy of mine, and I'm not going to reveal my real kinky side to him!

We have a pretty full schedule while we're there, but I will have most of the Friday to myself, while he's going on a tour to Cape Kennedy.

We'll be staying at South Beach, so if you have any suggestions as to what to do and see there, feel free to share them with me.

It's hard to go wrong in South Beach. Nikki Beach would be high on my list, very relaxed environment. Keep me updated, maybe we could grab a bite. It's always interesting to put faces to pseudonyms.

I lived in Miami Beach for three months on semester... my suggestions on South Beach are this:


of course, walk the entire length of the beach - it's amazing - and the better waters for swimming are down near the pier at the south end of the beach.

My favorite affordable places to eat: The Nexxt Cafe (it's an outdoor cafe on Lincoln Rd which is all pedestrian) (amazing, get dessert)
Cheeseburger Baby (best hamburger you will EVER eat)

Lincoln Road is where a lot of the gay clubs and bars are. If you're there near Halloween, go out, you'll see more drag queens in a few square blocks then you'd ever hope to dream of. It's also amazingly entertaining with tons of coture clothing type shops and shoe stores and bars and resturants and art galleries. Every other Sunday morning this street has one of the best flea markets I have ever seen - lots of relaly cool art deco stuff for sale plus your more normal flea market fare and farmer's market.

I only went to the cheaper clubs when I went there so I can't really recommend the hottest nightclubs - I couldn't afford to get into them nor did I have the wardrobe to do so at the time. But Ocean Drive is excellent for bar-hopping.

Washington to Collins is good for shopping and more touristy things.



I also recommend one of the night club boat tours... they are fun, and trust me, it will be warm enough.

Thanks a lot for those suggestions, they all sound great! I will definately check them out. And the walk on the beach sounds like a thing to do my first day there, since I don't have plans for that day.

Nope, I lived there for three months on a field study whilst in college. Now I'm in South Carolina.

So far I have Friday to my disposal, my traveling budy is going to Cape Kennedy, where I went last year, so I'm skipping that this year. So if you have time, maybe we could do lunch?
