i was watching the History Channel the other night (yes, i'm a nerd) and they had a show on about the seven wonders of the ancient world. It got to the part about the tomb of Mausolus. Most of the tomb was destroyed during the Crusades to build the church/fortress, but it's well documented that there were quite a few statues.
What caught my attention was the fact that this HUGE tomb was built to house Mausolus and Artemesia after their deaths. They were married siblings and rulers of the land. That got me thinking...
What if they put on sexual shows for their best workers, as a sort of prize for their labor?
Would they go out to the work area at night and ride the statuary horses (especially Artemesia - the cool stone could be a turn-on for later activities with Mausolus)?
Would either of these ideas go over well with the readers?
Input, thoughts, ideas, please!
