Going back home again. The growers in the valley proclaimed the fruit was ready to br picked. the word went out for the pickers to head for tthe valley for six to eight weeks of work.
The lead truck have several men talking about who would be allowed the same bario that they used the past two seasons. The group decided to allow only those that were family, family was family. The "Family"was headed by Jaun Lopez, The workers field boss and the growers liasion with the pickers. He has always done well for the Family, getting the best prices and the best fields. His son Ernesto was what you either call the enforcer or the bario police.

The vicheles moved into the bario late in the morning and went to work, quickly opening up the building to air out and to clean any debris that collect. By mid afternoon they moving personal belongs into their quarters.
The Lopez's were lucky, they had a larger house with a screened porch. the other were just open. Ernesto had a sma digg behind his fathers and offered a little privacey.
There litttle bario was located between the high school and town in a nicely wooded area with a stream or two running through the area. During the year when the bario was empty, several high school students used it as a short cut to get to there homes in the development on the other side of the woods.
A group of six or eight students came walking down the path unaware that the workwers had returned. They got to the edge of town and were caught off guard as they stood there and watched.
Ernesto wall up behind the group and said, "SURPRISE", He shouted, "Whar can we do for you ladies?", he asked. Shall I escort you to the other side of the wood, he inquired of the young ladies. He walked around to face them and he looked them up and down the line. Trying to hide behind one of the other girls, Ernesto sees her and he gives her his best smile.
