The old west they used to call it, with nothing but dirt and with the occasional tumble . People on horses and plenty of gunfire. Te ladies all in dresses, sitting side Seattle appose to how the men rode. LABelle was something special, because of all the beautiful women and plenty of booze. There were hundreds of people being there since the late 1700s, doctors were few, and very little could doctors do. But this was life, to fight to lived every day, you fight to stay alive the moment you are born. Simple lives everyone had, even though there were a lot of people here. But the ladies knew every one here, it was just something they liked. But one particular girl was one of the youngest in town. A girl her lost her parents to small box when she was just 13. The town helped her grow supported her since she did a lot to give back. Everyone liked her.

Her name was Luna, she helped the doctor when he had people to tend to, the town doctor taught her how to do a bunch of things. Which were about to come in handy. She was on her way home when she heard four shots go off, she climbed up on her house and took off to find it. She stayed hidden in the darkness, and saw a bunch of people riding off, she looked on the ground and saw a pool of blood by a body. Slidding off her horse she walked over to the figure, and knelt down. She rolled the figure over seeing a horribly wounded man. So it took her about an hour to get him back to her home. She had no idea who he was, once inside she removed everything but his pants. She got what she needed at the doctors since she had the key. Pulling out four bullets that didn't go through. By the time the sun came up the bullets were out and wounds closed and bandaged.

She was asleep on a chair by him, she had no idea just how tired she was.

Kent Brockmore
Age - 35
6'3"

It was supposed to be a simple robbery. Simple. Get in, get the loot, and get the fuck out. One final job for Kent and the Rough Raiders, then Kent was free to retire and live his life drinking and fucking in saloons around the country. Their target was a rich estate owner named Miles Henry, a loan shark and profiteer who alone had gotten his wealth in quite shady ways.

What Kent didn't know was that Miles had been tipped off to their little robbery plan, and had hired thugs to get in the way. The result was Kent bleeding out in a dirty alley, and thinking to himself how he should have quit the clan when he had the chance weeks ago. Now he would die alone and poor, and wouldn't even get a damn funeral, or even less, a box.

Blackness closed in upon him and he was unaware that his life was far from over.

He had no clue how long he was out, but he jerked awake in the night. Candles lit the room softly, he was in a home of some sort, a small softly lit room on a bed. How had he gotten here, he was dying in an alley wasn't he? He tried to sit up, but the pain and the tightness of bandages prevented that. He had definitely been hurt then.

Someone must have found him and pulled him to safety. He lay there for a while staring at the ceiling, trying to find his voice. "Hello?" He called softly. His mouth was dry and his throat painful to swallow or speak.

She did not know how long it was that she slept but she heard the man speak she got up quickly and got a glass. Pouring some water in and walked over, she had a smile on her face as she sat down beside him on the bed. She never hated anybody, and that was the thing about Luna. Because she was so young many of the girls thought that she would be taken advantage of which is why they were highly protective over her. Sure was far from. But she respected everybody and knew that because it took a village to raise a child, all the women were pretty much her mother or sister. In that moment she could see the pain in his eyes. She reached over, her hand behind his head. Ever so gently she put the cup to his lips, watching him drink a little. Once he had enough she sat back dow n putting a wet cloth over his head.

"Shhh try not to talk" she said in a rather angelic sounding way.

She did not know who the stranger . Was the law after him? Was he a good person? Was he going to try to hurt her? Which is why she always carried a little gun in her boot. But she didn't sense that from this man she decided to see she'd get a little out of him just a name would do.

"You are in LeBelle I brought you into what I call home, you have been shot four times, one inches from your heart. Another inches from your liver, the other close to your vein in your neck. The last one by your stomach, you are safe here, my name is Luna, may I ask your name?"

Kent looked up at the soft woman that brought a cup to his lips. He did not know her, and she certainly didn't look like a nurse. If he were looking around a group of people, she would stand out little more than anyone else. Though her eyes held a caring that he had never seen from anyone before. It made him trust that the water she made him drink was not lined with anything.

He drank slowly, feeling the burn in his throat as he swallowed. Why had she helped him? He had been dead to rights, he was sure of it. What had she done to save him.

He needed not ask, the girl explained to him what had happened. He had been shot several times, in places that should have left him a deadman. Yet this girl, Luna, managed to drag him to her home and save him.

Kent looked at her and swallowed painfully. "You saved me?" His voice was like shards of glass. "I....thank you." He nodded weakly. "My name is Kent." Even after so little energy, Kent felt his eyelids grow heavy and darkness took him away again.

She watched him very close, she could tell just by how he was looking at her that he had no clue were he was, almost a look of fear on his face. He was very nice on the eyes she remembered thinking while she was waiting to hear his name. When he mustered all his strength just to tell her his name, she knew this was going to be a very slow and painful breaking process. When he passed out she decided to cook him something to eat and was humming to herself. It kinda felt nice having a man over, she hoped to get a chance to really get to know him. But since he was going to be bed bound at least two weeks, she had the time. Kent was a nice strong name. She began to wonder what he had been doing here in the first place.

She came back with a tray of some eggs, grits, bacon and some coffee and water since she had no clue what he would want. She put a little table down to put the food on and by the time sure sat down. He was showing signs of him dealing up, she sat beside him with a smile.

" welcome back, brought you something to eat since you must eat to keep your strength.,"

The scent of food brought him back awake slowly. He couldn't believe how weak he felt, the blood loss must have been far worse than he thought. Though thanks to this woman, Luna, he might live through these injuries. It took a lot of effort for him to push himself up enough to be sit partially upright as she set the tray of food beside the bed. It smelt great, looked great, but the pain in his throat warned him that he may not be able to eat much of it.

He looked at her as she smiled beside him. He nodded weakly, "Hm. Thank you." He said softly. "You are too kind."

She helped him eat what he could, the eggs and the grits were the easiest to eat, but the coffee was too hot and the bacon to rough for him to deal with for now. So eggs, grits and water made for a fine meal.

After he had eaten what he could, Kent looked at her, "Have you...heard of anything about...me and what happened? Any people come looking for me?" He asked, his voice rough.

She watched and helped him eat, she was not sure why his throat hurt so much but she made sure he had enough to eat. Once he was done she took the plates and grabbed something for his throat. When she headed his questions she sat back down and shook her head. She did not know who he was and as she was thinking she knew for a fact no one was looking for him she silently sighed and could not hello but keep looking at him with sweetness but also curiosity. Who was Kent and what did he do, she didn't have much time ton have free time, because she was helping the doctor. That was the only reason she didnt know much, and couldn't help but want to know more, if he was willing. But then would her knowing cause trouble? "No one has come looking for you" She offered him a little cup, it had a dark green looking substance in it.

"That is for your throat it will have a very strong mint type taste but it should help with your sore throat. Why would any ones be looking for you? Sadly I don't get out much I help the doctor with the people in town so I don't know any outsiders so no Kent I don't know about what ever brought you here I'm just glad I found you. "

Kent drank the oddly flavored drink that looked like liquid grass and tasted just as poorly, though there was a minty aftertaste. He frowned and licked his lips before giving her the empty cup back. His throat did feel better and he cleared his throat softly.

"I might have run afowl of some bad folks." He said, his voice clearer and stronger now. "If they thought I was still alive, they might come looking to finish the job. But if you haven't heard anything then it's probably okay for a while." He looked down at himself, looking at the bandages she had placed over his wounds.

"I'm glad you found me too, doesn't look like I would be breathing without you." He smiled at her. "Thank you Luna."

She smiled taking the cup and couldn't help but giggle seeing the look on his face was sweet and now it meant everything. She was glad it helper him. She knew it tasted bad, she had to drink the stuff three times a day for a month. Looking into his eyes and wondered what was going to happen if men did start to look for him, she was great with a gun but she was a woman and women who act like men? Get shunned not kicked out of town or anything but are treated poorly by a lot of people. But she thought she would do anything to protect innocent people, she headed what he said about what got him there, and then thanks to her she would leave.

"Are you in trouble with the police Kent? I you seem very sure that someone will come for you, as long as I'm treating you. Your going to be safe, you don't need to tell me what your crime was, but need to know if your wanted because if you are I need to make sure to have my gun close, not going to let anyone Lynch you." Her heart was big as was her passion. She took taking care of people series it was a nice trait to have.

Kent looked at her seriously as she asked the question. The way she put it was incredibly innocent, yet hinted at a blame he didn't need. He shook his head slowly and smirked gently. "Police? No. But I..." He sighed and shrugged a little. "I ran fowl of some bad people with too much power for their britches. I am sure they think me dead, but if they find out I may still be breathing, they might come looking." He explained.

He still couldn't believe his heist had gone so poorly. Though in some ways, he should be happy about it. He had wanted out and now he was as out as he could be. Perhaps he could stay dead and start over, get himself a farm back east somewhere, raise cattle and a family and leave everything else behind.

"I appreciate your willingness to help. Thank you." He told her.

She smiled at him and knew that if anybody tried to hurt him they would be killed. There were plenty of bad people and she knew kent may not be one of them, but she began to wonder about how she was going to to protect him. IF someone was looking for him, she has the ability to use all kinds of weapons, but no one's ever seen her do it because she didn't want to be considered different. The woman in town that were different dressed up like a man and yet here she was dressed as a woman with gun knowledge. She looked at him and wanted to help him as much as she could. She cleaned him up a little bit and she even spoke to him, got to know him a little and he was very nice on the eyes she would admit.

She decided to make sure that her 2 guns ready to fire if need be, she sat by Kent as she cleaned them. She smiled at the man and had a feeling that he maybe here a while.

"Well Kent you can stay here as long as you need to or want to. Seems nice having someone to talk to" she said happily.

It took Kent another week to get on his feet. Though his body still riddled itself with aches and pains from his gunshot wounds, he was at least about to move around without worrying about anything reopening on him. Luna had become quite a fun person to talk too, and impressive for a woman of the age. Not only was she smart and soothing enough to care for someone's wounds, she was strong and determined enough to learn things that most women wouldn't dare touch. Thus he knowledge and capability with guns.

Luckily she didn't have to use them while Kent remained bedbound. He figured after a few days that if nobody had come looking for him by then, then they wouldn't be looking for him anytime soon.

During the time he spend in bed, he had done a lot of thinking as well. The raid was supposed to have been his last one, and it almost was his last anything, so why shouldn't he take advantage of this opportunity? He was free, and anyone who knew him or his past thought he was dead. Perhaps this was a chance to have a fresh start.

The thing was, he didn't know what to doing with himself with such a thing. Not to mention he was really starting to like Luna in ways that made his loins burn whenever he saw her. Could he really just walk away from her?

He sat at a table watching her work at the stove, making breakfast. He thought of standing up and wrapping his arms around her from behind while she cooked. He thought of making a life with her, perhaps starting a farm where he could tend fields while she could use a farmhouse as a clinic if she wanted.

"I have a problem Luna." He said, pushing the empty plate around with his finger. "I will be back to full health in a another few days, and I should probably get going. Except..." He paused. "I don't really want to. I told you I had wanted out of that business anyway, so why not use my near death as that chance?" He suggested. "Perhaps I could start a farm nearby. Or maybe I could work for you. I like you, and wouldn't mind having an excuse to spend time in your presence." He told her smiling at her.

Within that week that she was tending to him, helping him she was starting to really get fond of him, she did not know if he was going back to where he came from, but she hoped he decided to stay here. When he said that he wanted to stay and perhaps have a farm so he could be near her and that meant everything to her. She blushed when he admitted he did not want to be away from her. She wanted exactly what he wanted, and that was something that was rare because she never once thought that she would ever meet a man that would make her feel like this, sure she was only in her early 20s that she knew what love was she just thought it would never come to her until she was much older.

"I would love you to stay, there is a farm that's been abandoned, I'm sure no one will care if you take it over, the owner died ten years ago and the man had no family that was alive."

Kent nodded and smiled. The idea of taking over the local farm seemed like a good one. He did like the area anyway, and being near Luna might make it an even better idea. He sat back in his seat and watched her cook, "How can I thank you for saving me? I feel like I owe you my life..I DO owe you." He shrugged, "I should be able to work fully soon enough." He insisted, "Perhaps I could run errands for you."

She looked at him as she was cooking, but she needed him to knows one thing. She looked at him and sighed softly." Kent you need to know one thing about me? I help people because I'd like to help people I don't need someone to worship me, I don't need things done what I couldn't use right now is a friend, come to learn some things about you, you don't really know much about me that you're staying and I guess you will get to know about me and what I like to do I ever seen here, the only one in town that can play the violin. Perhaps you will be the first to hear it" She said with a smile

Kent listened to her and nodded, she was a very different person than anyone he had ever met before. He'd been raised under the belief that everybody wanted something from you. If you got help it was because you had something that somebody wanted, a service, a skill, something. But Luna had helped him, fed him, took care of him, and wanted nothing in return. He didn't know what to say to that, or what to do about that.

So all he could do was heed her request. "I love a good Violin." He told her with a smile.

A few days later Kent was back to a hundred percent, scars on his body and very minor aches still reminded him of what had happened to him. But he felt good and was thankful to finally be able to move around. He had asked Luna to take him to the abandoned farm that she had told him about, and as he stood on the old wooden porch looking out over the field he nodded to himself.

"I can do this." He told her, gesturing. "Field is dry, but it just needs some tilling. I bet there are tools in that run down shed still. I'll use them at first and then replace them once I get money from the first harvest. I also have some stashed cash to replace things that absolutely can't be used. What do you think?" He asked her.

Luna really liked Kent. And she did not know how to express it. She had never found a man she was ever interested in, especially one that was a bit older than her age, nothing in their world and I wouldn't even mean much to her personally she never wanted to get close to a man, never feel the touch never be kissed, never loved until she met him at first, it was business as usual Hanisch mending the wounded, helping the hungry, which she was a bit of each. I should watch them heal and he got his strength back he wanted to know where the farm was so she decided to show him but she had a package nuzzled under her arm a cloth over something rather long she needed to express something before she lost her mind she was listening to him on everything he told her he believed she couldn't help but smile at him and nod she agreed with everything he said she knew things about farming because that's something her family used to do before they died leaving her alone she got flashes of what her father used to do.

" It all sounds amazing and you look like you can handle it"
