"GOD"--the biggest conspiracy theory of all

I am curious why I was quoted for this response?

It's interesting that you picked this sentence out of everything I wrote. It is simply part of my answer to the question you asked. (Unless the Holy Spirit is trying to nudge you.;):D)

In other words, you like fgb, aren't as Godly as you think. Thank you for proving my point. The rest of your diatribe didn't answer my questions and wasn't worth quoting. The part I quoted displayed your hypocrisy. And that is why I pointed it out.

I believe in God.

I didn't say you didn't believe in God. Sometimes the Holy Spirit uses a 2x4 on me. Explain what you find is my hypocrisy. Blanket statements don't hold much weight for me. It's like a kid who finishes an argument with "just because!!"

I feel sorry for vegans. If God wanted us to graze, why did he make grazers so tasty?

The Bishop Okham was excommunicated for asking, "if God is ever-powerful and all things come from God, and God is ever-loving...why is there evil in the World?"

Good question.

I will ask a different question...If God is truly omnipotent, why does he/she/it care what they are called? And why would anyone in their right mind think only one message form (religion) would reach all people?

Well....By calling "Him" God believers are simply acknowledging "Him" for who He is. It puts our relationship with God in perspective. (God isn't really assigned a sex.) If we give Him honor and praise we are affirming that He is who He says He is. It connects Him with what He has done for us..by giving us life....by being by our side through life...and continuing it with Him through eternity if we want to.

It's kind of like with my mother...If I would have called her Yvonne that would have gotten me the parental stare. You know the one that makes you say "Oh crap." By calling her mom it establishes our relationship and it ensures that I give her the proper respect she deserves.

God deserves respect.

Well.... I'd like to think that I am in my right mind but there are days I wonder. The truth is there is a message...all you have to do is want it and believe.

So again...you quoted me with this answer that had nothing to do with the questions I asked. You responded from your point of view...not God's. So that leaves the statement "God deserves respect". I asked why I was quoted...you became defensive.

Normally, when one quotes someone, then replies such as you provided infers that the person you quoted is failing to give God respect. You have not denied that was not the goal. Therefore, I pointed out the hypocrisy.

If I am mistaken...it is easily corrected by saying that was not your intention. I simply asked why I was quoted with your reply.

1. I'm not God.
2. I'm not normal.
3. You are mistaken.

I thought I was done posting in this thread...

While I find Fundamentalist somewhat contemptible and mildly amusing, in this neck of the woods one can say at least they acknowledge God.

Now if they would just let him be God and all that entails...
