I got a big importante appointment tomorrow that will play a big role in the decision as to whether I shall be accepted into the Radiology Program tom.

Anyone know any good relaxation techniques, cuz I'm giving myself stress headaches and walking ruts in the floor.

Heh, yes I tried the manga and it don't work.

I know all about nerves before interviews. All I can say is deep breathing works for me. I take a breath in for a count of 10 (SLOW) and hold it for the same paced count of 10. Slowly exhale to that same count of 10. It takes your mind off things (or at least my mind) by refocusing on just the breathing. I'll be honest..It doesn't work for everyone. But its worth a try.

First of all, Good Luck tomorrow!

I find preparation calms me down, I have to have everything ready and planned out to a T. I lay out my clothes, make sure everything is in my purse that I need, double and triple check my alarm clock, think about what I'm going to do the next day, and what I'm expecting to happen.

Might want to try something that takes up your thoughts, like reading, excercising or cooking.

The night before simply take a long hot shower as you are getting ready for bed.

Go to bed early and make sure you get to your appoinment on time. Once you are just be yourself and simply relax. :)

Fucked if I know. I usually stress out untill I pass out, an hour before I have to get up. Then I'm running late, but that's cool, because I seem to work better under pressure.
 
Tyrael..yuo're going to kick ass. Don't you worry 'bout that. :)

I use deep breathing as a relaxation technique, especially before bed. The biggest thing to remember with that is to breathe from your diaphragm. Put your hand on your chest as you breathe. If your hand moves up and down, try breathing from deeper. Your goal is for your hand to move very little. :)

Here's by best breathing excersize. It's great for sleeping.

Start by counting relatively slowly in your head - not out loud. INhale until your lungs are full to the count of "two". Take the whole time to fill your lungs, then exhale to the same count. Make sure that you exhale fully to the two count.

do that a couple times, then increase the inhale and exhale to four. Concentrate on filling your lungs using the full count. After a couple times, increase to six, then to eight.

Usualy, I stop at 24 - but I'm a singer. Most folks would do just fine stopping at 10 or 12. Do what's comfortable.

It really does help focus your mind on your breathing. You forget everything else.

If you're not already asleep, go physically exhaust yourself. Run, jog, walk, rowing machine, anything that will burn the nervous energy. Don't lift weights, though - you'll be distracted by how sore you are tomorrow.

Once your body is tired, the mind follows.

I always say just be yourself! deep breath, and picture the person ou are speaking to nekked, i am totally serious...it helps

are you speaking of a radiology tech program or a residency program;)

My considered advice is wear a kilt, no knickers, put on a Scottish accent and defy the radiologists to see through you. Suggest they spell program "programme" and creep.

The breathing excercises actually worked combined with soaking in a super hot bath for about a half hour.

I'm not quite as frantic as I was last night.

Ok, I'll tell you how it went when I get back.
