I just finished reading Go Ask Alice and I have alot of questions about some things, I was wondering if anyone else has read it and what they thought.

Let me first explain that, yes, this is a true story, in fact it is a real diary. The family of the OD victim who wrote this diary decided to publish it, as a way to show other people what can happen. The writer was found dead of an OD, as it said in the afterward of the copy I had. The message was: This is a true story, from a user's perspective.

yes, i realize what the book said about it being a true diary but there has been some speculation, also i do know it was an OD but why did she OD when at the end of the diary she was doing so well, also you did not answer the more personal questions, why is that?

People have slips when trying to overcome addictions, and even one slip could have killed her. The diary was examined by the publisher before it was put to print, and I take that to mean that it is an actual expirience. The personal questions, I choose not to answer, there is nothing behind this besides a personal choice about privacy.
