And also BDSM personals added to the personals forum..

Bravo.

:D

Just in case ya'll haven't seen it yet.

Hope you don't mind if I take over this thread as the "official" one and make it sticky, Angel.

The new sub-forums in Personals grew out of discussions in the BDSM Talk section about having BDSM Personals. It was originally going to be a sub-forum in BDSM Cafe, but it was decided to establish both BDSM and GLBT Personals as sub-forums in Personals instead, to save the BDSM and GLBT moderators the work of moderating personals. The Personals moderators felt comfortable adding the new sub-forums in their area, and so Laurel went ahead with it.

This doesn't change much for us here in GLBT Chatter. We still won't be allowing personals threads here, but now they'll have a better place to go where they won't get lost in all the heterosexual threads.

If there are any questions about this, please feel free to post here or PM me.

Is it a good idea to pigeon-hole personals by bdsm, gblt, bigfeet, etc?

There was an identified need, Lancecastor. Same as there was an identified need for this forum some eight months ago.

It makes sense to me. If gays are 10% of the population that means we would have to sort through 100 ads by straight people to find 10 that we might be interested in. Why not make it more convenient.

Maybe they could have a separate shit stirrer section too.

I'm all for convenience...the Search features here at Lit are both powerful and convenient.

Who knows...maybe there's a nice bi chik here who's my soul mate...yet me might not meet due to the artificial walls segregated forums create.

If she's looking for a girl and not you she knows to come here.

Deal.

God it just pisses off some people not to be eligible, doesn't it? I'll never be able to write my name in the snow, it's just life.

It's not possible to cover every far fetched possibility.

All the more reason to tear down the walls, Queer...not build them.

How do you ever expect to gain equality in this bird-cage of your own design?

Where are the walls?

There is no prohibition against straights posting here. You made that up, remember?

Are you enjoying your crack tonight?

Do you write to the local paper for having the audacity to have a "men in search of women" "men in search of men" "women in search of women" ghettoization in their personals???

Maybe you should start a letter to the editor. The only acceptable personal format is human seeking same.

Or perhaps the fantasy land of enlightened bi chik in search of paranoid straight man who thinks the queers are leaving him out.

Right. Because there are plenty of other places for you to do that.

Should bisexuals take their gender-opposite experiences elsewhere as well?

I've never been encouraged once to "take my opposite sex experiences elsewhere" on this board. There's a difference between being bisexual and and being a contentious heteronormative whining troll, if you want to get into semantics you're not hanging anyone here by her own words.

Now I shall employ the tactic I use on most do-me bottoms and bid you a nice day. Your manipulations in order to get attention outrival the neediest male pseudosubs I've ever encountered.

I'm unsticking this thread. It does a pretty good job of keeping itself up near the top anyway.

Within the context of GLBT experiences and issues, sure they can be discussed here.

You're still struggling with all this, huh? I would say it's from lack of intelligence, but we both know you're just trolling and shit stirring.

Am I missing something.....?

Lancecastor seemed to be expressing a needed point, of if we seperate ourselves, we add to the seperation factor. And he was jumped on like a pack instinct.
I am confused, has he pissed people off before?

I hate being group together like cattle "GLBT". Just because I am a lesbian, doesn't mean I understand why Gay men have sex changes to call themselves straight women.
To me it would be like forming the "JCBM" group...for Jewish, Catholic, Budist, Muslims, they wouldn't appreciate it.
