Hi All,
Wizzie and I were talking and are going to start investing on some new toys. Since we are long over due. I was wondering what you take on the glass dongs were we found some on line, but I would like to know what you all think of them. Cool? Good to have? Not sure never tried one. If any of you could let me know what you think.

They can be fun (or torturous depending on your view) if you are into sensations - can heat them up or freeze them (assuming they are pyrex). The fact that glass/pyrex doesn't have any give to it can be bothersome to painful for some folks.

i've never had one used on me ... aside from them being heatable/freezable (if they are pyrex) from what i have been told, & read .... they are very easy to clean/sanitize as they are made of a nonpermiable/nonabsorbant substance .. & are dishwasher safe.

It's pretty even. If it turns out that you don't enjoy it, you could just suspend it with clear fishing line in front of a sunny window ... let it pass for a pretty suncatcher.

i'm sure u'll have a lot of fun with that toy. U should try it warm; warmer; and hot. Just to see the sensations. Then go from normal to chilled, to cold to freezing. I've had one for some time now. I love it's rigidity. I also love the way it maintains a slight chill from just being in the A/C. I find I use it more often when I'm alone and overheated. From what I have heard they are lots of fun, but also you need to make sure they are not just glass, but the extra strength pyrex for safety. Also it is advised they are checked regularly to make sure there are no chips etc., which could cause injury. Have fun.

Yes it is Pyrex catalina I did look into that first and it says about you checking it out regularly and that is a must. I will let you guys know how it is once we get it. Maybe Wizard could get us one for our annniversary. I think it is going to be a very exciting and erotic add toy out toy collection. I love experiementing with new toys and this one looks like it is going to be a lot of fun for us. Thanks to all of you this is definetely one of those must have it looks like.

My all time favourite toy. As someone said, they have absolutely no give, so that can be a bit painful sometimes if you are playing rougher. I don't like to have it pushed into me with too much force like I do with most other toys, it just hurts too much in a bad way. However...when used slowly and teasingly, it is *wonderful*. The heat/cold sensations are great, and they are just so pretty it really adds something to the scene. I hate toys that really look like cocks, it just isn't attractive to me, so glass toys are great visually for me because that cock association isn't there as much.

Thanks to all of you who have responded. I do know they are costly, but from what I've been researching they tend to last a lifetime if you are careful and treat them right. The sensations seem like they will be awesome with the heat and the cold. I will look into some of the other different kinds before purchasing , but I hear they are just awesome and I have one on my wish list now.

BUMP...

Because I really should read up on and price some glass dildos or something......because if i have to throw away one more double headed silicone type dildo .. grrr...

Oh and for the record.. I use them for massage.. have a bad back.. **cough coughs** heh

I have had two since June '04. I normally rinse them immediately after use in warm running water.. and I wrap them in plastic sandwhich wrap [Saran Wrap] until they are used again. Suddenly, in my experience.. and for no reason apaprant to me, they get a burn to them. Meaning if they are inserted either by mouth or in the vagina....... they burn... and they taste like pepper or soap...... It sucks. At this rate I am rendered dildoless...... save for the butt plug which He loves but I hate save for the fact that HE LOVES IT.

I've trashed too many dildos.

Anyone else ever run into this type of dildo issue?
